Will be on the celtics. Want -10

Heat just had a huge game vs the pacers. One of those games where they were actually engaged the entire game. Don't think that will happen against Atlanta, especially because the team is going out on a 5 game roadie the next day.

Gotta think more about it. Might continue playing heat 4q though.

the same on the nets.

might wanna grab that one early....I assume EG is playing....NOH off the win at home Sunday, BK off the loss tonight

Why grab it early? That line stinks. Nets perimeter defense sucked tonight. Hello Ryan Anderson

Interesting theoretical question. Lakers this season have never covered 3 in a row. In fact the last time they covered 2 in a row was 01 15 2013. Is this a automatic 2 game chase situation?

Just a reminder, thou the line isn't up...

Washington is 11-0 to Under their last 11 roadies, and 20-1 to Under their last 21 roadies.

Cleveland 6-3 to Under L9 at home.

2 previous meetings this season: Cle won 94-84 at home, & won 87-84 away.
Under is 6-0 in the last 6 meetings between these 2.
Under is 7-2 in the last 9 meetings in Cleveland.

(Cleveland is 7-2 to Over L9 home games as a Fav)

Total was 190 at 5d
Boston has covered in the first quarter last 5 at Bobcats but not sure of the play since Bobcats have covered the last 3 at home.

Lakers are 6-1 ATS revenging a pointspread loss of 12+ and 4-0 ATS revenging a pointspread loss of 13+ this season. (Several such revenge opportunities remain.) Lakers lost to Orlando by 10 as -13 last fall. Magic are MUCH better with Nelson on the court, but I will probably be on LAL tonight.

Thoughts, Divol?

Good numbers

I am looking at the Hornets plus 6 or better. Based on days rest and days of the week they are clearly the play. Brook with a spread of 6 or less is 4-6 ATS last 10.. Hornets away with a spread of 6 or less are 6-2 last 8 ATS.
Hornets away last 20

[TD="class: TSN1, width: 100%"] Season high 3 game losing streak.
First 2 of those games were b-b.
At Cleveland they lost by 5 in a hard fought game
At OKC they got slaughtered playing worst 3 in 4
At Memphis they were playing first game of a b-b with Portland at home the next day.
Not seeing any reason for them to hold back today.

Orlando sucks, but they will be fired up tonight to play against Dwight who bashed them and basically showed a middle finger to the whole organization last year. Lakers aren't god enough to be -8.5 pts faves against anyone on the road anyway, so Orlando seems a decent bet here.

I hate big spreads on the road. Lakers have big game against the Hawks tomorrow and we know that Nelson will be all fired up and so will the crowd.
On the other side, Nelson is the only Magic to play with Dwight and Dwight will be fired up as well.
It's hard to believe that Lakers will lose it, but 8 points line is really high. Lakers really struggled this season as big road favorites. Lost SU to Sacramento and Cleveland and barely won Charlotte (came back from 20 points deficit - but covered) and won the spread by half a point against the Wizards...

Having said all that, Lakers played 15 games this season as road favorites. All games but one, the team that won, covered.
The only game when Lakers won, but failed to cover, shocking enough, was -2 spread against Detroit, when Lakers managed to miss 4 free throws in the final 16 seconds (Nash and Clark missed both)...

So one can assume that if they win, they will cover.

One possible bet is Magic Under - Magic went above 101 points only twice in the last 10 games. The problem is that it's so hard to trust Lakers defense, especially against bad team, when they can simply overlook it (all but Dwight of course).

Tuck, on the other hand, Nets off a loss, Hornets without Rivers, Smith and Anderson and Nets have huge rest after this game, so can't see them holding out as well.
On top of that, it's Lopez brothers derby, so I fully expect Brook to show up...

Lakers are 13 - 1 SU their last 14 games as favorites and with Lakers covering the games they won on the road...
Will probably be skipping this one, but Lakers are improving without a doubt...

I do like the Hawks today.
Heat won the Pacers, broke Clips record for best winning streak this season - record that I really doubt will be broken this season, with less than 20 games left to play (Denver the only possible candidate).
Heat should probably ease up a bit...

Also TT Under for Heat is a decent option. Heat have failed to score that much at home against the Hawks since LeBron came to Miami. They also 0 - 5 in favor of the Under for their team totals at home against the Hawks (and 0 - 5 in general total as well)

Do not buy it. Nets are playing worst 5 in 7. Really hard to be a favorite in that spot

My only problem with the Hawk play is the 1-8 ATS record on 2 days rest. Still thinking.

It cannot be overstated how big of a loss ryan anderson is for the hornets... the nets perimeter defense is awful and he would have torched them

Nets are 10 - 0 SU their last 10 games as home favorites of 5+ points and 5 - 1 ATS their last 6 games as home favorites as 5+ points.
Hornets lost their last 3 games as 5+ points road dog.
Nets are 7 - 9 ATS on B2B, but they are 2 - 1 ATS at home and 1 - 0 ATS at home, playing B2B after playing the first leg on the road.

Personally I dont think the nets are thinking "Lets get this win before having our 4 day mini vacation"

Its not like the team is desperate for a win. They were playing like shit yesterday as a team. Individually, dwill is playing sensational right now. I dont trust anyone else on the team to give 100% effort tonight. 4 in 5 nights. 5 in 7 nights and 4 days off after tonight.... chances are people are gonna say that the team sucks again tonight

I watched most of the game against OKC but not the end. I woulda never thought Duncan or Leonard would be out. Did they get injured or is it one of those Coach Pop things where he's resting players?

no problem

Jameer Nelson Over 15.5 Points -115 2u
Deron Williams Over 20.5 Points -105 2u... seems too easy but w/e

Maybe Nets TT Over or 1st half TT Over is the right way to go here, still can't make up my mind, but it's clear that Hornets not the play here.

don't get upset if you see gerald wallace chucking up ridiculous threes... when players are tired they dont play defense and they settle for shots instead of being aggressive... dont get why gerald even thinks about taking threes

don't get upset if you see gerald wallace chucking up ridiculous threes... when players are tired they dont play defense and they settle for shots instead of being aggressive... dont get why gerald even thinks about taking threes

I think you have too little trust in your team. I actually like them this season. I think that if Deron was healthy, they would have been easily second best in the East.

oh no i do trust them and think they can go to ecf because the east sucks... but there are big problems with the defense... the points scored against is misleading... they better get a real coach next season... one of the van gundy's...

just dont like the spot tonight

just dont like the spot tonight

I just remember you didn't like them at home against Wizards with similar line as well.

whats your point? Dwill went bananas, he's single handedly keeping the team in games right now and the nets were not in the awful schedule spot they are tonight

My point is that the feeling that I got several times is that you don't like Nets at home as favorites against loterry teams. You believe they will let the fans down.

Interesting theoretical question. Lakers this season have never covered 3 in a row. In fact the last time they covered 2 in a row was 01 15 2013. Is this a automatic 2 game chase situation?

I wouldn't trust the Lakers tonight.

Portland should get the job done tonight. Huge look ahead for Memphis tomorrow. Playoff loss, two losses this season, including huge blowout loss to Clippers at home...

you're assuming things divol, please don't... that is not how i bet on teams, i dont remember if i even thought about betting on the nets on friday and frankly i dont see why that matters... each game has its own different situation and variables

good luck

How do you guys feel about:

- Bucks -2 at home (with Ersan, Larry and JJ all back)
- Charlotte Celtics Under 187 (Pierce doubtful)
- DH12 over 33.5 Pts and Rebounds

  • The Celtics and Bobcats will meet twice in just five days and both teams enter Tuesday’s game looking to get back on track. Boston lost Sunday at Oklahoma City 91-79 and currently sit sixth in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Charlotte is looking to snap its 10-game losing streak and avoid becoming the first team eliminated from playoff contention. The two met Feb. 11 in Charlotte where the Bobcats picked up a 94-91 win which is also their last home win. Charlotte has truly struggled since then going just 1-11, including losing their last 10 games by an average of 21.5 points per game and dropping three by at least 30 points.

  • Josh McRoberts will get the start at power forward for the Bobcats on Tuesday in place of Byron Mullens. McRoberts had his first start as a Bobcat on Saturday in Washington after Charlotte coach Mike Dunlap benched Mullens due to poor rebounding production. McRoberts had four points and two rebounds before fouling out in just 22 minutes of action.

  • Boston’s Paul Pierce needs 10 points to move past Charles Barkley into 20th all-time on the NBA scoring list. The Celtics forward currently has 23,748 points in his 14-year career. However, he’ll have to wait one more game to get into the top 20 as Boston coach Doc Rivers has decided to sit the all-star. “I just thought he was getting tired,” Rivers said. “I was going to sit someone here with the travel and time change.”

  • Jeff Green will get the start in place of Pierce. “He’s earned it,” Rivers said. I want Jeff to go out there and be Jeff. That’s it. If he has another great game for us. We’ll take it.” Green I’m gonna go with Jeff,” Rivers said.” Green has averaged 14.3 points over the last 19 games after scoring just 9.6 per game in the first 43.

  • Kevin Garnett is also moving up the career scoring chart and needs nine points to pass Jerry West and move into 15th place. Garnett has 25,184 points.

  • Charlotte starters: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Josh McRoberts, Bismack Biyombo, Gerald Henderson, Kemba Walker. Inactive: Ramon Sessions.

  • Boston starters: Jeff Green, Brandon Bass, Kevin Garnett, Courtney Lee, Avery Bradley. Inactives: Fab Melo, Rajon Rondo (torn ACL, right knee), Jared Sullinger (lumbar disc surgery).

  • The return of Dwight Howard has been circled on Orlando calendars since the day the NBA schedule came out. This is the first time Howard has been in Orlando for almost 11 months, and he stayed at his home Monday night. “I haven’t been here since my surgery (April 20 in Los Angeles),” Howard said Tuesday. “I’m happy to come back and see my house, go to the Waffle House for a meal. That was fun.’’
  • Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni said tonight will be a right of passage for Howard, who played eight years in Orlando. “I’m sure it’ll be different going out there and everything, but then once the game starts, you hope he doesn’t overcompensate and get in foul trouble or something like that. I’m sure he’ll play hard and play well,” said D’Antoni, who was asked to compare this to Steve Nash’s return to Phoenix. “It’s a little more contentious, a little bit more on-edge, but he has to go through it. It’s got to be done,” D’Antoni said. “He needs to move on and get this by him.”
  • A 113-103 victory over the Lakers in Los Angeles on Dec. 2 stands as the high point of the season for the Magic. They won it with a 40-point fourth quarter, but Glen Davis (23 points, 12 rebounds) and J.J. Redick (14 points, seven assists) were major factors in that upset and neither will play for the Magic tonight. Asked for his recollections of that game, Magic coach Jacque Vaughn said: “We shared the basketball . . . and we were very aggressive on both ends of the floor. Maybe we can replicate that.”
  • Nash did not play in that game for the Lakers, but Pau Gasol did.
  • D’Antoni reported that Gasol, who is recovering from a partially torn plantar fascia, is running again and is close to a return with no setbacks. The injury projection was 6-8 weeks, and next Tuesday will mark six weeks.
  • Starting tonight, the Lakers will play eight of their next 10 games on the road, where they are 11-20.
  • Lakers lineup: Metta World Peace, Earl Clark, Howard, Kobe Bryant, Nash.
  • Magic lineup: Maurice Harkless, Tobias Harris, Nikola Vukevic, Arron Afflalo, Jameer Nelson.

[h=2]WIZARDS AT CAVALIERS, 7 P.M. ET[/h] March 12, 2013 · 5:38PM
TV: League Pass

  • Wizards rookie shooting guard Bradley Beal (left ankle sprain) will miss his fourth straight game, but coach Randy Wittman says he remains “day-to-day. It could be a day, it could be a week. We’ll just have to wait and see.” The third overall pick in the NBA Draft — and Washington’s leading scorer at 14.2 points per game — was injured on March 3 against Philadelphia. Third-year pro Garrett Temple makes his second consecutive start in Beal’s spot.
  • With Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving (left shoulder sprain) out for the next 3-4 weeks, Shaun Livingston will fill in as the starter. Livingston, who was claimed off waivers from the Wizards on Dec. 25, is averaging 5.9 points and 3.4 assists in 31 games with Cleveland. “Shaun did an unbelievable job in the three games he started when Kyrie was out before,” coach Byron Scott said. “And I think he’ll do an unbelievable job for the next month.”
  • Irving suffered an acromioclavicular sprain Sunday in the third quarter of the Cavaliers’ 100-96 loss in Toronto. The NBA All-Star and reigning Rookie of the Year was hurt when he collided with Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas on a drive to the basket. Cleveland is 4-10 this season and 8-21 all-time without Irving. “Everyone understands they have to pick up their intensity and level of play without Kyrie,” Scott said.
  • The Wizards’ starters are point guard John Wall, Temple, small forward Martell Webster, power forward Nene, and center Emeka Okafor. Cleveland’s lineup is Livingston, shooting guard Dion Waiters, small forward Alonzo Gee, power forward Tristan Thompson, and center Tyler Zeller.
  • Cavaliers small forward Omri Casspi (appendectomy) is active for the first time since Feb. 20. The native of Israel was stricken with appendicitis on Feb. 23, just before Cleveland’s game in Orlando. Casspi has not played since Feb. 6 against Charlotte and has not scored since Jan. 22 against Boston.
  • Inactive for the Cavaliers are Irving and center Anderson Varejao (season-ending right knee surgery), while not in uniform for the Wizards are Beal and shooting guard Leandro Barbosa (left anterior cruciate ligament tear).
  • Cleveland is 2-0 against Washington heading into their third and final matchup tonight. The Cavaliers are seeking their first season sweep in the series since 1991-1992, when the Wizards were known as the Washington Bullets.

Betting props OVER vs. Steve Nash and G Vasquez is a profitable angle. These are by far the worst 2 defensive PGs in the league.

  • With this being the Nets’ fourth game in five days, Joe Johnson, who has battled a sore left heel, will sit out. C.J. Watson will start in his place.
  • Ryan Anderson (illness) will not play for the Hornets.
  • In this season’s first Lopez vs. Lopez matchup two weeks ago, Brook got the better of his twin brother Robin in New Orleans. It was only the second time in six tries that Brook’s team had beaten Robin’s team, although Brook has put up good numbers overall: approximately 17 ppg. on 53% shooting.

[h=2]SPURS AT TIMBERWOLVES, 8 P.M. ET[/h] March 12, 2013 · 6:49PM
TV: League Pass

  • The Spurs moved two games ahead of the Thunder for the top seed in the Western Conference with a surprisingly easy 105-93 win last night. They also hold the tie-breaker edge over the Thunder, having beaten them in two of their three meetings. The teams meet a final time on April 4th.
  • Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard will sit out tonight’s matchup with sore left knees after playing 35 minutes last night. It will be the 11th time Duncan has sat out of a game this season after missing 14 games last year. Matt Bonner and Stephen Jackson take their place in the starting lineup.
  • If the Spurs win tonight it will extend their NBA record of consecutive 50-win seasons to 14. The Lakers are second with 12 straight seasons, all of which occurred during the Magic Johnson era from 1979-1991.
  • The Timberwolves starting front court remains decimated by injuries. Kevin Love (fractured hand) has not played since January 3, Andre Kirilenko (calf) has been out since February 26, and Nikola Pekovic (abdomen) left the Lakers game after nine minutes on February 28 and hasn’t played since. Love meets with his hand surgeon in New York tomorrow and hopes to get clearance to play.
  • Wolves forward Derrick Williams has been the main beneficiary of the front court injuries. After averaging just 13.2 minutes per game in December, Williams has seen his minutes steadily increase to 37.2 in March. The No. 2 pick in the 2011 draft is taking advantage of the opportunity, averaging 17.3 points and 8.7 rebounds in the past 15 games.

[h=2]Hawks at Heat, 7:30 p.m. ET[/h] March 12, 2013 · 6:48PM
TV: League Pass

  • Heat forward Shane Battier will play despite missing the morning shootaround because of flu symptoms.
  • Miami guard Dwyane Wade on the team’s 18-game winning streak: “You have to live in a box to not recognize it. It will be something that would mean more one day when someone else gets on this streak and they bring your name up and they bring your team up and they show highlights of your team. Right now, while you’re in it, you just try to continue to play.”
  • DeShawn Stevenson will start at shooting guard for the Hawks in place of Kyle Korver. Coach Larry Drew also said Al Horford will defend Udonis Haslem, leaving Anthony Tolliver to guard Chris Bosh.
  • Zaza Pachulia (Achilles) did not travel with the Hawks.
