atl this is a game the hawks very well may take lightly....although the talent level is disparate that they may cover regardless

Considering GS is playing in the 2 or more days rest variation thinking they lose seems at least to start fairly silly. The spot does have some interesting variations. Lakers seem likely as a play. Remember Miami is well past crazy in the game after an upset win. Philadelphia may be a play. My reasons for saying this include a trend supporting them from Killer Sports with a 9-0 trend that says in the game after a home game where they are called for 30 personal fouls they are 9-0 ATS plus Atlanta is 1-9 ATS last 10 ATS as an 8.5 or greater fav. I am seeing some stuff that supports Dallas. I need to think more but right now Lakers stands out as Miami is looking at revenge vs GS and this season they are 0-8 ATS after an upset win.

Tuck there is no way Miami has revenge in their minds against a team they face twice a year with zero history. Nothing more than 1 of 82 in the Heat's minds. The stat about 0-8 ats after an upset win holds weight but revenge to me is a stretch.

Calling GS to lose SU silly might be a bit harsh. They've lost their last 3 on the road SU and ats and as DD favs to the Lakers. They start 3 in 4 where they probably think they can show up and win while the Jazz are playing better and play hard every night, the only other team I can say that about is the Magic. GS averages 9 points less on the road because the 3 doesn't drop as easily. Jazz have been playing much better the past 3 weeks. Won't be as easy as you think with GS.

At the moment I have no position on the GS game. It has a feature that has never happened before. The b-b game at home the next day. Every b-b game has been away before this. Every road game you mentioned happened with GS on bad rest which is not present here so my likely variation will be to watch this game and think about tomorrow. As to Miami and revenge. They lost at home to GS by 17 and in my world that creates revenge. I think in general GS has been very lucky regarding rest and will be in trouble later in the year as they run into fatigue. All in all though the 3 lost road games are a big negative to any bet on GS today.

A little more detail on this please?

Some interest in Minn. Minn on 2 days rest is 2-1 ATS while Indiana on 2 days rest is 0-5-1. This is from last year but Indiana has flunked as an 8.5 favorite 6 in a row and last 10 1-8-1. I think Indiana is looking ahead to Detroit so they can earn back their own respect vs a quality opponent.

Currently no position on the Suns game. Suns are Very tired. I expect LeBron. Cleveland is seriously outgunned if the Suns can stand up.

Heat are 0-8 ATS the game after winning as a dog. Lost those games by an average of 13 points ATS. Have beaten Lakers 4 straight. Don't like betting on Lakers with Kobe at this point, but otherwise it looks like a great spot for LA.

Definitely not revenge, but maybe a lookahead.

Andrew Bogut (illness) was sent back to the hotel before shootaround Tuesday. He's questionable for tonight.

Shawn Marion (hip) will play Tuesday night.
LeBron James is a little sore from Monday's practice which is expected, but is in no pain and remains a game-time decision on Tuesday.

Rodney Stuckey was not at the shootaround this morning and is still listed as questionable with food poisoning for Tuesday night's game.

Omri Casspi (left knee bone contusion) will not play on Tuesday.

Just some FYI

Uncharted waters for Indy (vs Minn) as far as a double digit favorite and doesn't seem to play well off 2 days rest against the number and the last two games I think they shot in the low 30% Can over 102.5 TT be a play expecting a better shooting night after two days of extra shooting and extra rest playing a team that doesn't know about defense and is waiting for someone to explain it to them. .

Atlanta on the other hand (vs Philly )like two different teams. 16-3 when a favorite between 1 and 7.5 and 1-4 from 7.5 and beyond. Sounds like a habit of letting teams cut into big leads at the end.

Saw something over at Covers that bears repeating: the Sixers have been double digit dogs at home 7 times this season, and have covered all 7 times, although as nbafan points out "Atlanta is better than all those teams".

What's with the ESPN scoreboard these days? One day it doesn't work at all, the next it's got the scores all wrong, and tonight there's no play by play.

This is like the Raptors game all over again: Hawks shooting 52%, Sixers shooting 29%, but ATL only up 5 because of 8-2 FT advantage to Philly.

They thought Carlisle outcoached him badly in last year's playoffs, and they've been disappointed with a lot of Pop's moves this year. Most recently, they think he blew the game against the Pistons.

personally i think carlisle is a very very good coach....he appears to have all the parts from handling his studs to x's and o's to in game subs and decisions...i love the guy and find myself rooting for him because he's a pro....pop may have passed his prime or his players have gotten older and he's catching the flack....i'm not sure....i'm still pissed he had duncan on the bench when the spurs needed him for a rebound in game 6 of the finals against the heat when all they had to do was secure a 5 point lead....and pop out thought himself....he has become a celebrity...changes some

late to the game

like jazz but only because i like the jazz as a team and they are home and they are playing well and they should get up for this....maybe 1st half also

mavs....sac too many issues and i have fallen out of love with them....maybe over...if they are both hitting their shots then this goes way over

suns because cleve is completely dysfunctional and i don't care how suns are physically i think they romp

no clue on heat lal....gut tells me lal but i get these teams wrong....and i'm cold last 4 days

I like the Heat. They are undervalued after Bosh got hurt but now he is back. Also like Whiteside. He helps them down low. Very impressed with Heat win over Clips. Lakers dont have the fire power.
