Trade Rumors

Don’t necessarily need a thread for this, but figured it may spark some discussion.

No confirmation and it may be BS, but rumor has it that Pats may trade Hightower to Lions for G Tate. Some speculation that he was a healthy scratch for tonight’s game.

Interesting. Im wondering if bears can make some micro moves moving kevin white for db depth or an edge rusher (Fowler) or get a starter for Howard.

Tate to pats would be just sick. Him, Edelman, and Gordon? Gronk starting to look like a shell of his former self but still has to be accounted for. Nobody could hold that group under 30. As if that not enough Michel gives them a excellent run game so they can salt games away or simply line up and maul teams when weather bad! Hardly even fair!! Lol

Hoping Bears can get Fowler or Irvin as an edge. Also Raiders DBs could be a good move like Conley....they shoukd take a shot on kevin white

Really wish the Titans would have gone after Demarius Thomas. There goes the AFC South...just freaken hand them the title already!

Was hoping my guys would make a run at Landon Collins or Clinton-Dix today. Not looking great.

*sigh* another bust of a first round pick. Seriously does any team have more first round duds than the Jags? Soward Williams Wilford Matt Jones Fowler the last guy we took.....Bortles....

Think Lions did well to get a 3rd for Tate, Ravens obv did well only giving a 7th for Montgomery

Wow great defense of your post. I‘m convinced. Totally.
What do I need to defend? You're the troll who gave zero "defense" as to why you think a 1st for Cooper makes more sense than a 3rd for Tate. If you wanted to have a reasonable discussion you should have not done your standard know it all response and state the obvious. I know Cooper is 6 years younger, I know he is also way less productive than Tate.

Kevin White is younger than Tate too. Perhaps a team should trade a 1st for him because of age? Like I said. You are predictable and I thought to myself that you would be the one person to try and use age as a way to spark debate via trolling which has zero substance or validity behind why a team should pay a first for an under performing WR with the contract through 2019 I believe.

Cooper, at most, should have cost a 2nd...at most. Trading a 1st for him was a desperation move by the Cowboys versus waiting to get value at the deadline.

With that I'm done with you until perhaps you track your picks and record. You have your "know it all" posts and demeanor with zero to back it up. You should really just go over to blankets with all the other kids who act like you.

In his defense I was going to also bring up age and amari is not on an expiring contract, but Dallas did give up too much imo
Yup. Point i was making is market value. A 1st for cooper is an overpay. I like him as a player but think tbey gave 30 spots too much. Whereas Tate for a 3rd and/or Thomas for a 4th gives a better value.

Im aware of upside but paying a 1st for upside after 2 down years is a stretch.

If agree. I also think a 3rd for Tate was probably too much, but they were the right team to pay for him. The Fowler deal, and compare it to Mack, and i can make an argument both were better. Ie have been more than okay witj packers giving up those picks in either deal.

Mack deal was a 1st and a 1st for 2nd swap (15 or so picks). In hindsight its even better given the cooper deal.

Hope the best for the raiders at this point.

I'd have paid for his flight out of town, so getting a 7th in 2020 is a bit better
I think he woulda probably paid for his way out of town at this point. I'm just surprised that was the best they could get even with virtually no leverage.

He was on a local radio show last night. Busted out the gotta feed my family line and then when announcer asked him about a charity event he had scheduled at Lambeau on Thursday, he didn't know if people needed to get otis in advance or at the door. He responded with my guy who set it up didn't tell me that. My opinion of him miraculously got worse.
