Fan Club of any and everyone good!
gonna start posting stuff i find in researching these two games in here. then i will come back to make my two cents of what've found.

The Cleveland Cavaliers continue their pursuit of the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference on Thursday night when they host the New Jersey Nets, who can move closer to clinching a spot in the postseason.

Cleveland (46-32) trails Chicago by one-half game in the race for the second-best record in the East. The Bulls, however, own the tiebreaker between the teams.

New Jersey (37-40), meanwhile, can cut its magic number to one for a sixth straight playoff berth with a victory.

The Cavaliers won 50 games last season and seemed to be in good shape to surpass that total when they were 41-25 after an eight-game winning streak from March 3-17.

Cleveland, however, hasn't been able to win consecutive games since that run, alternating wins and losses in its last 10. The Cavs haven't played since an 87-82 defeat at Detroit on Sunday.

LeBron James turned in another rough performance by making 5-of-16 shots for 20 points as he was double-teamed constantly. Two days earlier, he made 7-of-23 shots for 25 points in a 99-94 win at Washington.

The Lakers (40-38) are in seventh place in the West, but have lost six of eight and there are five teams - including the Clippers (37-40) - competing for the final three playoff spots. The Clippers are a half-game behind Golden State for eighth place, but have lost three straight since beating the Lakers 90-82 on April 4.

The Clippers trail the Lakers by 2 1/2 games.

The Clippers have five games remaining, two against teams over .500 and three on the road.

They gave up a double-digit lead for the second time in three games Tuesday. The Clippers had an 11-point advantage at the half against the Hornets after holding a 15-point edge in the second quarter of a 96-93 loss to Denver on Saturday.

lakers next two games.

New Jersey at Cleveland: Pick Cavs – 6 ½
Something still doesn’t seem right with the New Jersey Nets. They are winning games, six of their last eight to be precise, but the Nets haven’t been covering the spread consistently.
The team needed overtime to beat a depleted Washington Wizards team at home April 7 and then followed that up by almost losing again to the Wizards three nights later.
Richard Jefferson told the Newark Star-Ledger his team wants to finish the season strong, but went on to say he’s not concerned about which team the Nets end up facing in the first round of the playoffs.
“There really is no difference between Cleveland, Chicago, Miami,” Jefferson said. “They’re all talented teams. Even Toronto, there’s no difference. If you play someone, you’re going to have an All-Star, you’re going to have somebody you’re going to compete against that’s going to be tough. Seeding doesn’t matter too much.”
Jefferson probably feels this way because New Jersey has no chance of gaining home-court advantage in the first round - unlike their opponents tonight, the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Cavs now sit fifth in the Eastern Conference playoff seeding but they still have a chance at the second seed.
“It’s a big difference, seeded fifth and play Miami and then Detroit, or seeded second and going the other way,” Cavs center Zydrunas Ilgauskas told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “Obviously to win it all, you have to go through everybody eventually. But the second seed is better.”
L.A. Clippers at L.A. Lakers: Pick Clippers +2 ½
The Los Angeles Clippers are in a dogfight for the last playoff spot in the Western Conference and consider the rest of their schedule all must-win games. They’ll have to surpass the Golden State Warriors and hold off the New Orleans Hornets to secure the eighth seed.
The Los Angeles Lakers don’t share the Clippers' urgency. If the playoffs were to begin today, they would face the Phoenix Suns, something the Lakers would like more than anything else. Don’t forget the Lakers choked against the Suns in the first round of last year’s playoffs despite leading that series 3-1.

We have a great fade tomorrow. I like nets and lakers

haudica. I say pick one and fade one. That article from the other site RARELY goes 2-0. If the 1st pick wins, fade the 2nd one or vice versa.
