No evidence at all as to why I feel that way...just thought Wisky had some good momentum early and that call for some strange reason seemed to throw them into a funk as well as the crowd.

NW down 14 early could have led to some desperation as well.

And it either turned out that desperation was a good thing, the next QB was a good thing, or Wisconsin just let up (I tend to think the last one is the main reason).
