Thanks guys..

Cards vs RHP is something to watch closely.. LaRussa runs a re pretty potent left handed hitting lineup (Duncan,Rasmus, Ankiel, Thurston) add in Pujols and even the top RHP's have struggled vs this bunch..

Like Boggs alot.. Liked him last year even though he struggled.. Different pitcher now with a bunch more confidence and another year under pitching coach Dave Duncan.. The list is long of Dave Duncan reclamation projects (Suppon, Weaver, Bottonfield, Stephenson, just to name a few) This guy fits the mold.

Molina resting but I am OK with Larue.. Keep an eye on Rookie SS Tyler Greene making his MLB debut tonight. Ton of Talent..

Card bullpen availability is the only iffy part of this game IMO but don't think it will be close so

T - What up bro? Good to hear from ya! Never heard, did you end up playing STL OVER win total? I played STL and NYY OVER'S for decent coin. Anyway, glad to see you around again man. Not sure if you have any plans to be in Vegas in September but I'll be out there from the 16th (Wed) thru Monday.

ya, got a bunch down on cards win total.. Most at Hilton. Some at Wynn and a little at Ceasars.. The Hilton decided to play games with me so I middled them some..

Got a real nice +620 ticket on the Cards to win the NL Central and another on the same bet but only +500 for a dime at Hilton..

I'll be in Vegas sometime in the Fall , not sure when yet.. Last trip during NCaa tourney was extended-- but that is a story for another day..

Pulled up my 2008 stretch to finish the season posted on here .. Had a stated goal of 70% and 80 units.. Narrowly missed both...68% and 79+ units.. Still pissed about game 3 of WS.

Under the radar pitcher. Gonna have some value for awhile and is on my very short "buy" list. Especially if you can get him against a RHP.. His curveball, I rate in the top 5 in the NL right now. Similar movement to Peavy's. He did not have this pitch last year and hitters do not have a good book on his current arsenal. He is top unit play for the next few if he has a rested bullpen behind him, vs mid to lower range RHP, under -140..

the answer is in the box above.. Think the music from winter wonderland. Come on..

ricky hatton.

hate you for winning that cards bet btw. hate you.

good to see you around tee.

welcome back bro!! man i was hoping the texans traded up or picked shone green with their 2nd round pick. him and slaton would have been a great duo for us.

best of luck this season!!

ricky hatton.

Agreed. Not that boxing's fixed, but Hatton's last fight was at the MGM, too. He won that one, and if he wins that one he gets Mayweather out of retirement, I believe.

This guy's becoming the great white hope.

yep..

add:

4 units, Ricky Hatton +220...

Should be a hell of a fight. I have Hatton with a slight edge and at +220 I make it 4 units at least.. I'd grab Hatton now if you like him.

I'll try to write it up a bit tommorow but basically, Hatton will enter the ring 10-12 "natural pounds" heavier and much stronger IMO. He was too aggressive late vs $ but really was in that fight throughout. Situation is good also. Pretty boy fight was a perfect setup as Hatton will be so much stronger and a threat throughout.. See it inside the distance and expect a lot of blood... Mayweather would kill Pac if he gets this one but don't see it happening.. Hatton Mayweather rematch is in the cards I think.. Everything equal from a training perspective I'd take the big +money in that one..

Little off kilter today with Danny Gans death to be honest.. Felt like I knew the guy even though I didn't.. Young kids etc. always tugs at my heart..

Sorry for the absence guys. Got wore out, tried a few different things, had an extended stay in Vegas, closed a couple businesses and am still working on a new project.. Should have some time to post around here now if I don't get banned:popcorn:

LAS VEGAS – Two days before Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton are to meet in the year’s biggest boxing match, a representative of Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach had a conversation with Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer about the possibility of Roach training Hatton in Hatton’s next fight.
Roach’s agent, Nick Khan, had heard of rumors of discontent between Hatton and his trainer, Floyd Mayweather Sr. In a telephone conversation with Schaefer, Khan suggested that Roach would be interested in training Hatton.
“Richard and I were speaking on the phone, though I’m not sure who called who, and I told him how much respect Freddie has for Ricky,” said Khan, who is Pacquiao’s former co-manager. “I suggested that after Manny defeats Ricky on Saturday, which is Freddie’s priority, that we sit down and discuss the possibility of Freddie getting together and working with Ricky.”
A source close to Roach said Schaefer had indicated that Hatton was miserable with Mayweather and was unhappy that Mayweather had arrived late for several workouts.
Schaefer adamantly denied telling anyone he knew of problems between Hatton and Mayweather and said Thursday he was surprised to hear of it from a reporter.
He did say that when he was speaking with Khan that Khan told him Roach was interested in training not only Hatton but also Victor Ortiz, another Golden Boy fighter.
Mayweather didn’t deny that there had been friction between he and Hatton, but said it was nothing out of the ordinary and wasn’t anything that would affect his working relationship with Hatton or the fight Saturday.

Mayweather grinned and said, “you could be on the right track,” when asked if he had problems with Hatton co-trainer Lee Beard, but was more blunt in discussing problems between Hatton and himself. He said he didn’t want to identify them in the media, but he didn’t deny they had issues.
“I addressed the situation and the problems I had with him,” Mayweather said Thursday. “I addressed things with him. I let him know I don’t play that, don’t do that. He knows now. I won’t disrespect him. If I don’t want someone else disrespecting me in no kind of a way, I’m not going to disrespect anybody else in no kind of a way. We have a very clear understanding between each other. I make sure I have a clear understanding with everybody I train because nobody is going to be jerking me around and I take no mess off nobody.”
Hatton was not available to the media Thursday and couldn’t be reached for comment. But he has consistently indicated that he’s happy with Mayweather, whom he hired last summer after breaking with longtime trainer Billy Graham.
Schaefer said Roach “wants to train a lot of fighters,” and said he maintained a good relationship with Roach, a three-time Trainer of the Year. However, Schaefer said he didn’t have the same kind of close relationship with Hatton that he does with Oscar De La Hoya, Bernard Hopkins and Shane Mosley and insisted that he never recommended trainers to them without being asked.
He said he had recommended Naazim Richardson at different times to both De La Hoya and Mosley. Mosley went with his suggestion and used Richardson in a Jan. 24 bout against Antonio Margarito, but De La Hoya instead hired Roach.
Roach said he’d heard rumblings of the discontent between Mayweather and Hatton and said he had heard Hatton became irate when Mayweather was late for numerous training sessions.
Roach, though, did not address Khan’s conversation with

. I'd grab Hatton now if you like him.

Hatton dropped from +220 to +190 in a couple hours.. Flights from England must have landed in Vegas..

My favorite quote from camp Hatton:

“I’ve been here before,” Hatton said. “People say (I’m) over-hyped, overprotected, a fat, beer-drinking Englishman. Well, I’m going to shock the world again.”

Yeah, I missed the +220, but got a bit of the +290 for KO, TKO, or DQ so that plus the +190 averages out nice.

Here's how I read that article, by the way, it's pretty short. The they're already starting the drama and build up for the next Hatton/Mayweather fight.

Hatton, frankly, is also such a better story for boxing right now than Pacquiao.

Boxing's a show as much as it's anything. Hatton/Mayweather is a total circus and that's what boxing thrives on.

as long as i can see mayweather uncle call everyone bitch ass motherfuckers and everything in between on HBO's 24/7 i will be happy :36_11_6::36_11_6::36_11_6:

Getting some good PM's from some respected boxing guys and some good stuff in here, but this is afterall the baseball forum.. Whenever I move stuff over to the Misc forum however, it dies... Mods, I am going to keep the boxing info in here and build on it-- but feel free to change the title and or move to the misc forum if that is your preference..:shake:

And now Mayweather says he's returning to the ring, per ESPN.

July vs. Juan Something Marquez.

Start the build up.
