^ That isn't made up .... that actually happened .. a coach actually made that play call .... the game was 3-0 btw.

No I am being serious....why would I make this up? That happened.

You have to be kidding me.

Tit for Tat...

One game the QB spikes it on 4th down...other game..down 3 they run with no timeouts left...

Dabo is an ordinary X's & O's coach (awaiting a lashing from Schrute), but he is the Tony Robbins of CFB. He could motivate fondy to go to the gym. He's passionate, he's emotional, he loves his team and they love him. Those guys will run through a brick wall for him. Loved his reaction at the press conference. I'm starting to like him

Is there a coupon or rebate involved?

1 The NCAA can sell your jersey
2 They'll let you auction your own jersey off to help ppl in a natural disaster if you put them in a corner on live TV
3 But YOU can't sell or auction your own jersey to help feed your mom or help her with bills.

4 DALVINNNNN!!!! Is a baaaad man

Apparently they should be thankful they are getting an education, that makes in ok. Interesting exchange between Bomani and Kanell on twitter today. It seems they don't like each other

Same can be said for Jimmy Harbaugh except he's good at the x's and o's as well. I figured he'd have UM playing well by years end and they'd make some middle of the pack Big 10 bowl but they will be battling OSU for the top spot in that conference. I expect a UM win against Sparty this week.

Hahaha no lashing here. He's smart enough to realize he's ordinary on X's/O's and he goes out and hires great coordinators and let's them do their thing.

Texas QB gonna be one of those players in a few years that we are saying "seems like this guy has been there for ten years". He is going to make plays.

They call Bob Stoops "Big Game Bob" because he can't win all of his "Little games". Though this rivalry game should be considered a big game.

Guess OU was caught looking ahead to kstate and ttech ...

You're giving him too much credit. Last time I was in a gym was 2002.

True. Morris was a great hire, and Venables has greatly exceeded my expectations.

Ohio State is no longer the team they were last year. Point spreads are larger and Im paying for it and the Buckeyes have failed in 5 straight. Michigan State is in the same boat.
Penn state next week should be a game that is a bit more predictable.

I really feel that Ohio State is very similar to last years Florida State. They have so much talent, just don't mesh together well. Just beating teams on pure talent discrepancy now

That's the thing though .. can very easily end up like Auburn that one year where they just keep finding ways to win until they figure it out ... ok they aren't getting THAT lucky but that Auburn team luckboxed a bunch of games but by the end of the year they WERE actually good.

For sure. Its a team that is impossible to figure it out. By the end of the year, everything will play itself out. I am just staying away from them Too many other games to bet on.

Product of the schedule just like what you are saying as well.

It will correct itself.

Interesting post from Clemson message board. Didn't know where else to put it so I'll just paste it here

Terry Don Phillips hired three football coaches in his career as a Power 5 athletic director(Clemson and Oklahoma State), none of whom had prior head coaching experience.

Les Miles 107 - 29

Mike Gundy 90 - 44

Dabo Swinney 66 - 26

Combined record 263 - 99 (73%)

All three coaches have won conference titles and BCS games with one national title

Dabo was selling life insurance in Birmingham less than a decade ago. I've heard nothing but disdain from fans about Dabo and Alabama potentially going after him when Saban leaves, but aside from some of the goofiness, I think we could do a whole lot worse, if he'd even consider it. From people who know him, he is a great person, and as mentioned, his players love him and play their ass off for him. Kind of like another goofy coach that followed Saban

Look at the 3 coaches that Terry Don Phillips hired while athletic director. Dabo, Miles, Gundy....he must love some goofballs

I've always thought highly of Pat Haden, but geez...his tenure as AD at USC has been a total train wreck.

If teams consistently threw the ball 25+ yards down the middle of the field, we'd have even more scoring in CFB. Teams just refuse to cover people in that area of the field. Even the well coached teams in critical spots (K State, I'm looking at you.)

The #13 YPP offense(OU) vs the #100 Ypp defense(Texas).
The #5 passing offense vs the #113 pass defense.

College football is hard to figure out sometimes.

Jared Goff threw 5 picks in a hellacious venue against a Utah squad that played well and Cal still had a chance to win on the last drive. Says something about both teams I think. I like Utah a lot and if someone forced me to come up with a final 4 right now they'd be in it, but Oregon's result throws a bit of a damper on the Utah coronation tour for me right now.

I bet on the Iowa State defense.......

PLAYER STATS

Watched the better part of the Utah game. Was pretty disappointed in what I saw. Outside of Booker, they aren't much. Seems he could be gameplanned. Do got a lot of pressure on Goff. But, I wasn't sold on the Cal O-line coming in.

Force Utah to play from behind and they'd be in a lot of trouble. Not much of a passing game beyond 20 yards or so.

Depends on the day with Travis Wilson. If you hurry him he gets happy feet and can't go through his progressions. If he has time, he's all world. Utah is a good QB away from the playoffs.
