The King is BACK

Great thread. Just went ahead and threw down some money on the Cavs to win the central at 4 to 1. (sportsbook.com)

BTW, Ive had alot of religion debates over the last couple years. The one we just had over there was hands down the best, deepest, and most interesting I've ever had. Awesome stuff.

Where was the debate posted 'Killa? I'd be interested to read it.

Right Now Kobe. Lebron In A Couple Of Years Will Be The Best Player In The League. You Can't Convince Me That Lebron Does More Things Than Kobe Right Now. He Does Not Have The Killer Instinct, He Is Not Clutch, He Does Not Defend Like Kobe...but He May Be The 2nd Best Player In The League...but I Will Start Any Franchise With Him Because Of His Age...

Kobe plays defense???

J...thats an excellent value pick when you look at the scheules of the teams. Thats real solid my man. GL.

Gets to the basket at will eh... until Kobe guards em. Detroit had too much pride to help down on him... LJ still needs to learn how to shoot the ball before he's in anyones league IMo.

I have a lot to say about that being a Christian myself, but there are two things stopping me from posting there:

1)Decided I will never post at Covers again.

2)I can be a part of ANY discussion as long as respect is there from both sides of the argument, since I don't see elements of that I can't share my thoughts. Anything can be said in a normal, non bashing, insult-free way, since some members there have no intention of engaging in such a discussion, I will exclude myself from posting/further reading of that topic.

Shame, I think I have a lot of things (from personal experience) to share, and I always like reading what other people have to say.

Anytime you wanna discuss any aspect of organized religion or its effects, we can do it in GD right here at CTG.

so he should have one nomination per year you say? Name one player that has done that.

You assumed that...I was just asking how many years he has been in the league

Kobe..when he wants to...can be MJ like on defense...the key is..'when he wants to'..he doesn't give it game in and game out.

I think you can check that yourself if you don't know it "by heart", www.google.com should provide the answer pretty soon. :shake:

All I'm saying is, the words "Kobe" and "defense" put together in a sentence don't warrant a response containing 8 (EIGHT) ":an_roll_laugh:" emoticons.

To prove my point I don't even have to write a book, just merely state that the guy has 4 1st defensive teams nominations and 2 2nd teams. (3 1st teams in last 4 seasons).

yeah ya know...another day at the office...was threatened...same old shit...

I can't even begin to get into it with people about Kobe and his DEFENSE. Big Al said it best...Kobe plays MJ defense when he WANTS to. And when he wants to he is a shut down defensive player. Lebron is not. That was the argument...

Kobe plays defense?? Hilarious if you think he does not...fuckin HILARIOUS.

I am not backing Lebron by any means, but when I think of shut down defense Kome is last on my list.

he shouldn't be as far as everyday..when need be though...he has that MJ like zest to just devastate an opponent defensively.

but just like this thread originated about LeBron and his inconsistancy night in and night out...same we are saying about KoMe and that is the difference when comparing to MJ

Great stretch by LeBron but lets get real. Cleveland doesn't have the all-around team to beat Detroit or Miami in a 7-game series.

James update for 3/10:

32-9-8 and completely took over the game in the last 6 minutes for another win.

There is LeBron and then there's everyone else.

Loved it as well :smiley_acbe:

Yeah, well, from someone on the losing end of tonight I'd have to say, it's tough to call this guy the king of much of anything when the other team basically rolls over.

I mean, play a little defense. Or, I don't know, make a shot at any point in the last two and a half minutes.

Neither Kobe nor LBJ are MJ. And, I never liked MJ so don't hear me being an apologist for that f**ker.

wow...25-11 to end game..I jinxed Bucks backers because I was pissed I layed off Milwaukee when they was up 12 with 6 minutes left

unreal

Yeah he really showed his value in the closing 17 seconds at Dallas a week and a half ago.

he was posting on the block tonight some. i love it when he does that. all hail the king.

 king james

yeah...a bit...he is the best talent ever other than MJ..but that coach and his own laziness masks it

I'm glad someone mentioned this. The Cavs are very successful when scoring over 100 points. When they put that 3 guard set with Hughes, LBJ, and Pavlovic, I think they can get out and run more. Varejo is also a quick big. Set offenses don't work with this unit.

most over unders in their games are gonna be 178-184ish. i didnt want to go out and say 32 in such low scoring games.

also i dont want to set the bar so high that i am not left in awe by his greatness.

Lebron is a top 5 phenom no doubt. When I think of Lebron and being so young. I think of MJ when he was young, and he took chicago from a below 500 team to a team of greatness. He had his stretch where they lost in the playoffs and then they eventually won, and continued to win. I honestly dont believe LBJ can take the cavs to the promise land for another 2-3 years. In the mean time they will continue to sell out Quicken, and amass stellar nights as did Jordan in his day. I do believe we will eventually see a LBJ vs kobe rivalry like the MJ and Magic rivalry of the late 80s early 90s.

Its good for the game, both players are class acts and are great to watch. I know when they come to my hometown teams arena I always grab tickets for "the show"

easy here. you can not compare the king to his airness. thats a big no no.

I know...why bring this up again...but where is Austin now?!?!

1st Team all Defense - KOBE BRYANT

Austin was so ridiculous...
