Texas vs. Arizona State Discussion Thread

I've no idea what a Penn State / Texas ML parlay will pay. -200? Whatever. It's free money.

No doubt, I can’t get over ducks who were clearly the best team in country got this draw while Texas and pen st got teams who prob rank right around iu somewhere in the 20s. I guess the Joke been profitable at least!

I went to the ASU game in San Marcos when it played Texas State early in the season. Tied at the half. ASU pulled it out 31-28.

ASU plays hard under Dillingham. But ASU is also very small, especially its front 7 on defense. I think the middle LB is 220 lbs.

Just doesn't set up very well for ASU, at all.

Cant imagine the lack of interest in this game. Texas was just here in Atlanta, I doubt they travel back. What a disaster.

ASU has been a fun, and profitable team this year.

Size factor is big.

This just isn't in the cards but a well deserved playoff berth.

Kudos!

Yep I’m on Texas 1h and game here

My son been to every home game and went to MI. OU, Vandy and SEC Champ game. He is skipping this one. He has family/kids etc but he's counting this one a "win" already. Bad omen.

I think Skattebo will help shorten the game and probably injure a Texas defender. I will take Texas 1H.
Yeah. Hard for me to see Texas fans travel back to ATL for a quarterfinal game.

I was generous on the ML. Hopefully the math is right: -500 & -400, IWP 83.3R% * 80%
Odds of both teams winning outright 66.6R%
Parlay Calc spit out 100 to win 50 on a 2 team or 50%.
You can see how the house always(usually) wins.

My BIL from Austin is in town for the holidays. We’ve talked about going to the game. Just not sure I want to drive 3 hours each way for it

$24 is the get-in price to the game. Stadium maybe 1/2 full.

Another needed tweak for the playoff format: home venues until the national championship game.
Or keep games out of Atlanta- nobody wants to travel there compared to Cali AZ Fla just not sexy destination especially if from Tex or AZ lol

I can't get there on Penn St being a 'lock'...i realize there is a scenario where their offense may dominate and throw up a 40 spot but I also see scenarios where Boise is in this game deep into the 4th quarter...

ASU...not so much.
Agreed here- this should be nasty

Shit you can get in to the Rose Bowl for $170. It just isn't ATL. $60 and $40 gets you into the others. Tex just came here. ASU doesn't travel anywhere.

Thinking the sponsorship situation / $ would be the only thing to keep the games at home venues until the championship.
Or the fact that none of last weeks games were competitive or very watchable for casual fans. I'm okay with sifting out the dregs so even this round could be at home but no students on campus would blow for schools not in bigger cities.

It was hard for me to watch most minutes of those games last week. It probably will be this week too but I'll at least have money on them all.

Man I miss the BCS.
