Sportscenter just reported Cowboys have released him. wow. Shocked they actually did it

He really must have been a huge cancer. the guy is still a top WR in the league. Keeps himself in great shape and didnt think he contract was that bad (guessing on that part).

HaHa well Mcnabb wants a top reciever...Lets give him another shot in Philly! LoL

:36_11_6: Hahaha. Oakland here he comes. Only place where he could fit. The baggage this guy brings is just too heavy

Good call with Washington twreck. Atleast it would give Campbell a legit number 1 receiver. Something they havent had in years. Maybe the Vikings. They lost out on Housh.

Patriots.

My god would that be disgusting. Even if it was only for 1 or 2 years. I would say right now the best WR duo in NFL history. Brady would smash his old record of TD passes

Smoke,
That is my reaction also, but I think he is just too much of a cancer....although, we did get to the Superbowl.

I would be shocked if he didnt end up in Wash ...shocked . Who is else is going to pay him ? NY franchise maybe but he wont last with Coughlin. Plus would think being in Wash he gets a chance to show up his former teams . One thing is holding me back from saying its a done deal and that is we know he likes to play for an established QB. Interesting would be for say the Colts to get interested . TO and Randy Moss cant coexist .

Wash
NYG
Indy
Cheifs?
Atlanta ?
Zona if Boldin left ?
Broncos
Ravens
Steelers?
Texans
SD
Saints who dont need him

Fixed it for you, Smoke.

I think the list is (in order of likeliness)

Oakland
Washington

Ravens

Denver

Patriots

Dallas
Eagles

lol JP

Think Nut is right on. Terrell wants his numbers. Need somebody to actually throw a decent ball.

Throwback makes a good point, let's remember who we're talking about here:

Great move IMO for Dallas. TO has been and was a great receiver but he's getting old. He's dropping passes and is a constant cancer to teams. And i'm sure Romo had a say in this. You can't do this w/o at least running this by Romo. As the franchise qb, i'm sure Jerry Jones asked Romo "how do you feel about this?" And i'm sure Romo doesn't mind seeing him go. Last year you can see it in Romo that the distractions were finally starting to get to him. Besides having to deal with TO, he also had to deal with a fat GF. haha.

Somebody will go after him thats for sure........and he will end up destroying or being a distraction to that team as well.

The thing is, i dont think he will be. I can see him playing only 2 more years and then hanging it up. If you go by past history usually takes him 2 years to completely ruin the team. I think the Eagles might have been a year and a half but by the time it takes to infect the locker room this time I think he hangs it up

no way he goes to washington.... cant see him fitting the offense with both santana and randle el and cooley at receiving TE, way too much complaining from him about not getting the ball. on top of that youve got portis running the ball 25+ times a game.
after being division rivals for years the majority of the NFC east hates his ass and would not want him bringing that shit in the locker room.
plus carlos rogers after covering him for years jawin back and forth with his ass, doubt he likes TO either.

skins are good at the wideout position anyways, got a good mix of young/vet players after drafting thomas and malcom kelly. they need to keep stacking up the line on both sides of the ball, especially DL as theyre very old there and lack depth, and maybe a LB.

dannyboy already did his usual overspending early this year.
paying 100 for haynesworth and even better was deangelo hall getting almost 60 lol. :36_11_6:

think you guys are right about oaktown but would TO actually play for a team that shitty and a QB as talentless and terrible as russel?
will he be able to humble himself?

AL would definitley love to bring him in though. definitely the type of big-name guy/shit talking drama queen he loves.

woulda said cincy was a posssibility too as marvin lewis loves the undisciplined locker room--- drama queens/convicts and housh leaving...but they signed coles. maybe trade chad away for cap room/defense and bring in TO?

I dont know if he ends up in Baltimore...remember, Harbaugh was an Eagles coach when all that shit went down last time...

Plus, didnt TO screw over the Ravens to go to the Eagles in the first place?

I have an idea. The Browns front office is destroying that team. Trade Braylon to Philly for one of their number one picks and a third, fourth, or fifth, whatever you can get.

Sign TO.

Draft Crabtree or Macklin with the 5th pick.

Use the other first rounder on defense then the rest of the picks on an RB and defensive depth. TO plays for two years at most, then he's gone and by then the WR you just drafted should be able to take over as the number one.

Yes, TO's a total team cancer, but the team's a mess right now anyway so why would you care. You know he brings touchdowns, something you couldn't generate for a solid six weeks this year. You know people will come to see him and you know he won't be there that long.

Besides, you've said you're 'lukewarm' on Quinn anyway, so if TO came in and crushed that guy's spirit how much would you care?

Had this front office not decided to blow up this team I'd never suggest it, but since they have, I say f**k it, why not.

A bunch of teams have come out and said theres no way theyre signing TO...

Skins
Ravens
Giants
Vikings
Dolphins
Niners
Falcons

What's really funny about this is that Dallas waited this long, basically screwing TO on the free agent market.

How hard is TJ Houshmanzedah laughing right now?

That basically leaves Oakland

What about SD??

Report says Walker stays _ so no to T.O.?

By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Thursday, March 5th, 2009 at 10:31 am in Oakland Raiders.
The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting Javon Walker has accepted a contract restructure which signifcantly reduces the amount of actual money he will be paid and greatly reduces his salary cap number.

Under terms of the deal, Walker will reportedly receive an average of $3.2 million per instead of $9 million. He’ll cut his salary this year from $4 million to $2 million. Due a $5 million roster bonus, Walker will instead get his base salaries guaranteed for the next two seasons.
With Walker sticking around, it would seen unlikely the Raiders would get into the mix for Terrell Owens, which could eliminate the serious T.O. speculation before it really gets rolling.
