This is incorrect. GIBSON has habitually been a good OVER guy. Stats from last year help bear that out.

He was tied for fourth with MARQUEZ at -8 runs saved by pitch framing. Simply put, he doesn't call the close strikes as often as most other umpires.

I'm down on Waino this year in general i think.....in the past this definitely would be a great spot for him but I'm tentative right now.

with good reason. he really not the same guy anymore. his velocity is back down in the range it was last aug when he was getting tagged, he somehow got a little of it back in sept and pitched well but he clearly on the downside. he still smart and knows the gm so there be plenty of times he can handle lineups like he did the scrubbies young hitters, there also be plenty of times i think he gets tagged by good lineups. he certainly being priced like a ace but imo wacha and martinez are the 2 guys that have ace stuff on our staff these days. obviously im a fan and am actually going to the gm tonight so wont be betting against him, wouldnt argue it tho cause i never trust cards to sweep anyways (winning series has always been their goal) and the price right to back reds. i do think that cards bats will do some damage to leake so over 7 is where i will be, i find it hard to imagine both teams not scoring at least 3 here..

not sure that came out real well but he is only 7-9 in his career with a 4.40 era.. bruce, frazier, phillips all with decent numbers vs him.. plus again i cant stress this enough, this is not the same waino. he obviously has a outstanding baseball iq and knows how to pitch but he has been struggling to hit 90 on the gun thus far..

waino did shut them down twice last season, going 15 innings in 2 starts with no earned runs. but those were depleted reds teams and the 1st time in his career he had a winning record in a season vs the reds..

i was just looking at the radar and it appears there a good chance we gonna get some rain,, i dont know if it be enough to shorten or suspend the gm but certainly could be a factor..
