Dallas very obvious lean. Two games to 500% and play Suns at home after this one, so they know that they got a very good chance to finally reach their goal and on a way, hang on to that Playoff dream, especially if Clippers win the Lakers earlier on (making it 2.5 games difference due to tie breaker).

smh212- fricking great call on the whiz tonight....thats awesome analysis....love that about this site.......guys fricking think and feel the winnas!

Celtics are 15-1 ATS last 16 Sunday home games.

Lakers took care of Memphis and now it's Clippers turn.
It was obvious that Memphis won't sweep the Lakers (never done in the history of the franchise) and I think that Lakers can avoid getting swept by Clippers as well.

OKC and Knicks always play close games but without Kenyon I dont kno. Line is 8 and OKC usually covers at home even when it doesnt look like they will

I know this is unrelated to today's thread, but if someone could tell me what the 76ers team total was approximately at the beginning of the year, I would greatly appreciate it?

The only problem with the Lakers bet is that this is the only game in a week for the Clippers. Played April 3rd before this game and April 10th after this one, so they come fully focused...

Kevin Garnett’s injury history has always been a little more complex than that of most other athletes, and this chapter is no different.
The Celtics center, clearly healthier as the result of rest, ran the floor and absorbed full contact for the first time in more than two weeks yesterday, testing an inflamed left ankle that forced him to miss the last eight games. Though his return is possible for tonight’s game against Washington, Garnett was typically cryptic about what has bothered him.
He has also suffered from a sore left adductor that forced him to miss one game in March. Though it was unclear whether Garnett was referring to this season’s injuries or something in the past, his woes appear to have been debilitating.
“If I’m able, strong enough and feel I’m able to contribute then yeah,” he said of his criteria for playing. “Other than that it’s all guts, all grit. I’ve always been able to put mind over matter with certain things, and then when I was unable to do common things like walk, get in my car and drive myself then that’s an issue.
“Obviously rest is always a good thing for me. I’ve been able to get multiple treatments a day on my leg and my foot, and I’m getting better,” said Garnett. “I have some issues from my foot, more from (pushing off), pushing the gas. It’s an issue. If it wasn’t, I wouldn’t be out. But I am getting better. I’m going to practice today. Doc (Rivers) and I will have some conversations about the future.”
Adding to the urgency now is Garnett’s need to regain form in time for the playoffs.
“I want to get a rhythm,” he said. “I want to be able to come in and contribute. I want to get as close to 100 percent as I can. I’ve never come into the postseason 100 percent, so this is nothing new. But I do want a rhythm, and in these last couple of games obviously we’re playing for something, and we’re trying to get things done.
“I don’t want to go into the postseason and have no rhythm, but I want to be healthy,” said Garnett. “That’s the first priority. . . . Everybody is dealing with their different ailments and I’m no different from that. As people get older things tend to linger a little longer. But I am getting stronger. I was able to heal up things that were nagging.”
Garnett clearly has much to benefit from the remaining six games on the schedule.
“It’s important to get him back on the floor, but if he’s not ready, he’s not ready,” said Rivers. “I don’t know what the number of games is, but everybody has their own thing rhythm-wise. I do know Kevin has been out awhile and the playoffs are soon, so the sooner he gets on the floor the better. Once he’s cleared health-wise, even if he can’t play a lot of minutes it’s better if he plays in games. Practice will never duplicate a game. He’s been compliant. Once he’s cleared he can play.”
And once Garnett plays, he may need several games to return to form. Rivers has seen it before.
“He’s a systematic player — he’s like (Patrick) Ewing in a lot of ways, back when I played with Patrick,” Rivers said of his former Knicks teammate. “If Patrick didn’t practice he was going to be awful in a game. A lot of the great ones are that way. Once they get out of their routine, it takes them a little bit to get back into it.”
Selective amnesia
Jordan Crawford, whose time in Washington ended up on the bench, has an interesting view of tonight’s game against his former team.
“Who? I don’t recall playing for them, for Washington,” he said, though Crawford did acknowledge that there’s a difference from his former team and the Celtics.
“Just the seriousness it takes every game,” he said. “The players we have are different. It’s a blessing to be here and learn from the best.”
Rivers has noted that Crawford’s intense competitiveness can sometimes stop him from thinking clearly, though Crawford has another take on that part of his game.
“It’s always in me,” he said. “Anytime there’s a game I’m going to be competitive, it’s in my nature. I think it’s the reason I’m here today, a blessing.”
Rivers doesn’t anticipate a problem tonight.
“I think everybody gets amped when they play their old team, and Jordan will be in that same category,” he said. “If he wasn’t I’d be surprised.”
Wait and see
Garnett and Paul Pierce, who missed Friday’s loss to Cleveland with a sore right ankle, both made it through yesterday’s practice without any interruptions.
“We’ll see tomorrow, but we have to see after practice. Paul too,” said Rivers. “They’re both just scheduled to practice.”
Avery Bradley, suffering from a bruised left collar bone, courtesy of a Kyrie Irving elbow Friday night, missed practice. But Rivers said he expects the guard to play today — sentiments expressed by Bradley Friday night.
“Health is always the most important thing,” said Rivers. “But you want to win too, and unfortunately for us and a couple of other teams like San Antonio, it’s tough to do both. But I would choose wins all the time. It’s not like we’re resting Paul or Kevin.”

Tough matchup for the knicks w chandler being the only recognized big man they are gonna struggle w okcs size w perk iblocka collision and hasheem

OKC's big men are not traditional in that obaka plays more to the perimeter and perkins isnt much of an offensive threat... but without kmart, their toughest player BY FAR....okc definitely wins the grit/toughness battle

  • New York center Marcus Camby (plantar fasciitis) and forward Kenyon Martin (sore left knee) are both out for today’s game.
  • A showdown for the NBA scoring title today, OKC’s Kevin Durant is working on his fourth straight and currently leads all scorers at 28.4 ppg. The Knicks Carmelo Anthony is right behind after three straight 40-plus games at 28.3 ppg. If Anthony cracks the 40 point mark again today and Durant doesn’t get to 30 then Anthony will take over the top spot. Durant has said more than once he’s not concerned about winning a fourth straight scoring title and said he’s excited for Anthony, “he’s on fire right now. It’s a joy to watch him and I’m rooting him on.” Thunder head coach Scott Brooks told reporters he doesn’t think Melo wants the scoring title above other things either, “that’s probably not something that he wants, he wants an NBA Championship as much as K.D. does. But it is exciting, it’s always exciting when you’re down to the last week or so of the season.”
  • Both teams come in hot. New York is riding an 11-game winning streak, the Knicks longest since 15 straight back in the 1993-94 season. Oklahoma City has won three straight and six of the last seven. The Thunder have also won 10 of their last 11 at home.
  • OKC is averaging 108.8 points at home, New York though has allowed an average of just 86 points over its last four games. The Thunder defense has been just as good allowing opponents to score just 87.7 points and shoot just 38.7 percent over the last six games. “You want your defense to be solid all season and then moments when it’s special,” Brooks said in the back hallway, “and I think we’ve been in one of those moments for the last few games.”
  • The Thunder are 33-5 at home this season and three of those losses have come against teams from the Eastern Conference. The Knicks are 21-16 on the road but just 5-9 on the home courts of Western Conference opponents. The Knicks have never beaten the Thunder in Oklahoma City.

No shit sherlock...I told u this before whenu said the nets would be better and Knicks were trash

The nets size is gonna be a good matchup against the Knicks. If they somehow magically meet up in the playoffs

Why is Utah a 5pt dog in GS? Utah playing pretty well, 5-1 in last 6. I give them a shot on the road. What you guys think?

How isn't that a flagrant foul on Butler? Grabbed Kobe from behind with both hands???

Lakers playing too soft. Can't secure rebound under their own rim. Gave at least 10 - 12 gift points to the Clippers...

  • Chicago forward Joakim Noah (plantar fasciitis in his right foot) will return from an eight-game absence and swingman Marco Belinelli (abdominal strain) will play after missing seven games. In Noah’s case, that pushes Nazr Mohammed to the bench. Coach Tom Thibodeau was uncertain if Belinelli would start ahead of Jimmy Butler. “The first game back we’ll monitor what they’re doing out there,” he said.
  • Thibodeau is confident Noah won’t miss any more games because of the injury. “That’s why we gave him an extended rest, to make sure it was cleared up as best as we can at this time of year,” he said.
  • Detroit point guard Jose Calderon will sit out for the second time in three games with a triceps strain in his right arm. Rodney Stuckey, averaging 21.3 points in the last four games, will start. “What we’re not going to do is yo-yo him back and forth,” Pistons coach Lawrence Frank said. “We want to get it right before he comes back.”
  • Backup point guard Will Bynum will play after missing six games with a right hand strain.

Not sure what to say. Utah is 2-16 su on the road against winning teams on the road this year an they are getting 5 points. GS is coming off an ATS loss partially because they have been waiting for this game. I agree the line is odd. Would have made it more. Utah in Great shape. their next game is at home against OKC coming off a a home loss to Knicks. Last 2 on the road Utah is 5-15 su. Their wins
