Summer of '25 Free Agency/Trades...

I feel like Duncan Robinson has been a true reserve player for more than the better part of his career. And he’s like made 100 million dollars.
He's a 5th starter to perhaps 8th man.

He's that step above a true NFL 2nd stringer whos saving his body holding a clipboard and being paid.

Terrible D but he'll fill in for Bease

Most logical spot for him.
Yeah, win win for both sides + very nice contract money wise for the Lakers, thanks to the salary Portland pays him...
Not the typical C that Doncic used to play and flourish, but has many upsides and Lakers usually do well with Centers...

Imo Ayton does 0 to get lakers closer to okc Houston Denver & Minnesota. Guess they had to do something at Center but I think they'll sour on him quickly.
I don't agree, I think Lakers hole in C position cost them the series against the Wolves. But more important, who can they sign to become frontlead contender? I think they want to build a team that can put them in a position to surprise and if Lakers are healthy in postseason, I think they can be competitive - if Bron manages to play+- same level...

I hear ya. I'm wrong all the time but guess we'll see. Portland bought him out and last year drafted the UCONN center. Theyd seen enough after 1 year. I think he'll drive high IQ guys like JJ, Luca and LeBron nuts. Right now I see them in the play in. Think Dallas SA GS and LAC all ahead of them too. But that's why they play. I hope they trade Lebron and build around Luca. LeBron a billionaire but still needs to take 52million or about 33% of cap. Just like Kobe at the end he's killing them cap wise. I think they'll be mediocre until they dump LeBron and rebuild around Luca. Will take time. I dont do GOAT but LeBron in my Top 15 all time. But his time is over as main guy.

Lakers had such a hole at C you'd think any big would be a huge plus for the team.

But this guy is such a lazy negative loser. Typical get for the Lakers these days.

That's the thing -- they needed a body.

I thought he'd be cheaper, admittedly.

Powell was great fit with the Clippers and really gave them that 3rd star. Collins is good player, but even if he is same level player, not sure he will be such a perfect fit in LAC... Don't get that move by the Clippers.
Utah got nice deal here, getting two veterans and a pick on top...

Read it was salary dump by lac. Guess Powell up for extension and they didn't want to pony up. Kwai has 2 years left and that's what they're doing with everyone ie harden, etc. Kind of seems like a give up. Powell was huge for them

I think Ayton is a good get. Around LeBron and Luka it’s gotta be a little different.
Plus, what was the fucking alternative?

Suns re upped Booker for 2/154

Guy is in a lot of business ventures here with Fits. It's like what Amare wanted and failed at

Too bad.

Time for him to come home.

He's mentioned it too.

Deserves the cash but he also deserves to be in contention. For now he'll settle for an April vacation.

Ishbia has quietly become a very good owner by turning over power to his best player

Jury still out on the rest of the MSU crew but Booker was behind the hiring of the new HC and draft. Pretty sure everyone knew this season was going to be a write off that was needed and the Beall buyout is going to set records. Transition is weird. We have two centers lol.

It's literally his team going forward and his city. Suns are bigger here than the other pro teams. City is still new compared to other places but the Suns were the only pro sports team for 20 years before the Cardinals moved here. Suns '69/Cards '88/Snakes (and KJ) '98. Kinda weird the last one is the only to raise a trophy. Not many legends due to that. Chambers, Fitz, Gonzo, Randy....Majerle does well to a degree. But the end game is pretty big in a huge city that literally has no identity. Book knows that.

Suns legends? Westphal, Nash, Amare?? had some great teams. Unless Green turns into another SGA, Booker might lead them to the Play In. They had to pay him to keep butts in seats but you're going to have some long years ahead.

It's 118 right now and I'm not in the hospital

Can't wait to see the terms of the buyout but it was already expected to be record setting for good reason.

I understand Clips are desperate, but Harden and Beal on the same team... just bring RW and change the rules to play with 3 balls at the same time...

He's basically getting 42 million for 2 years because he's not playing next season

WTF is Portland doing. Beal Holiday out of their prime. Doesn't even get them close in West. I don't get it. Clips were good last year. Now have Collins Lopez and Beal for Powell so deeper. But don't think it's enough. Harden year older andxwho knows how many games Kwai will play.

Y’all seen Luka?
Key will be whether he can keep that up, the endurance of maintaining that focus when you do it so quickly...and his ability to fray from that with resources and location, it will get tested a ton. Good on him though.
