Solution for OSU Cancelation

Pretty much a regular
In the year of flexibility and creativity, OSU vs Iowa on December 12th is the best option. If Iowa is trying to win the conference title, they're going to have to face OSU either this Saturday or next Saturday anyway. If Iowa loses this weekend, they can finish the regular season with Wisconsin. Only negative is if Iowa wins, they'll have a rematch the following week.
Its really the only option that not only gives Iowa a true test but helps validate OSU position by beating a decent Big 10 team in its regular season final. Iowa is clearly better than Michigan too.
What am I missing on this option when the conference benefits greatly with a final 4 appearance?
Wisky loses a game but make it up to them with 1 of the bigger Bowls.

How can Iowa win a conference title when the team they lost to, in their own division, Northwestern is already going to be playing for a Big Ten Title next week?

Has Northwestern clinched for sure? If they lose they're 5-2, and if Iowa wins they're 6-2.
Even better and easier to do if Northwestern has clinched already. That would assure of a new opponent for OSU on Dec 19th

If Northwestern were to play Indiana, which is who they would play if Ohio State is ineligible, that is a new opponent for both NW and IU.

Ohio State's 12/19 game is TBD, just like everyone's 12/19 game is TBD outside of the two teams playing in Indy for the Title.

Just because people do not get the desired outcome they want doesn't mean the rules should be changed.
I'll just say this. The Final 4 is best with OSU in rather than a 4 seed is going to be a 20pt+ dog who's gonna get steam rolled. People want to go to an 8 tram playoff format? College football hasn't had parity in the least when it comes to the best.

Ohio State will be perfectly fine in the eyes of the playoff committee even if they don't play another game. CFP commttee will find a way to get Ohio State into their thing because they write their own rules as they go. The Big Ten laid out it's own rules before the season, or early in the season to explain how teams would be eligible for their division and conference champions. If those previous eligibility standards aren't met by one team or another, so be it.

Finally someone says it. Look at last year, too. It‘s obvious that some years it‘s hard enough just to find four good teams to compete with each other. Eight is absurd.

Sort if like when Alabama was smuggled into the playoffs despite failing to reach its conference title game.

What is the incentive for A&M. If tOSU gets left out, who benefits?
Incentive for A&M is they get a game, and it's vs a top 4 team, plus you give them a lucrative Bowl invite if there is such a thing in 2020.
If A&M wins, they would be on standby for 1 scenario for a Final Four berth. Irish must beat Clemson and Bama beats Florida.
1. BAMA 2. Notre Dame, 3 and 4 are who?
If A&M loses give them the Orange Bowl vs Miami. Not a bad deal.

Why wouldn't A&M be in with a win? They'd take Ohio State's place; no need for Clemson to lose.

The solution is very easy.

There will be other B10 teams without an opponent this week.

Schedule one of those and get to your 6 game requirement then play NW next week.

This isn't that hard.
If there's another cancelation

A&M is on deck. ACC and SEC handle themselves.

The question is how do we get tOSU in the playoffs. The worry seems to be that they won't get an invite without enough games. Why help them?

BIG champ might get a slot. Now UF must beat BAMA, and CLEM must beat ND. Both of these have to happen in order to get left out.

My guess is the committee takes tOSU regardless of all of the needed scenarios.
