How many points for the good guys, Grove? Overs have been good to me this year in the Rebel Black Bear games.

Longo's offense is garbage when the athletes on the other side of the ball are as good or better than his. I think State's D is the best in the SEC. Ole Miss put up 16, 7, and 16 against LSU, Bama, and Auburn, all of which compare favorably to State's D no matter how you rank them. WR, D. Lodge, and QB, Ta'amu, are both hobbled. Starting RB Scottie Phillips missed last game with an ankle injury. If he goes, he won't be 100%. Starting C, Rawlings, left Vandy early with an ankle injury. He probably plays, but he won't be 100%.

Ole Miss is one of the worst teams in the red zone in the country even when relatively healthy. I think it would take some crazy shit for Ole Miss to put up more than 21 points.

Defensively it's a bad matchup for Ole Miss. If Moorhead doesn't get cute, and just lines up and pounds the ball, then Ole Miss' D will be gassed by half time. Fitzgerald will be sky high for this one after his injury in last year's game, and Moorhead needs to win back some of his fan base. This feels like a 55-17 ass whipping.

The first bet I ever made was a LSU Texas A&M game in I think it was 1995. Can't remember which side I had but it pushed.

When is the last time A&M beat LSU?

That was it, in College Station, first game of Dinardo’s LSU tenure.

Gerry D got out of the remainder of the series in the late 90’s. The next meeting wasn’t until the 2010 Cotton Bowl, and then A&M obviously joined the league a couple years later.

I think A&M wins this week.

Taggart is really quite atrocious.
tough to say i mean he has a QB he doesnt like and doesnt run his system in francois, doesnt go to blackmon to keep his RS eligibility D has shown improvement each week playing more young guys... clear he has to change culture and there are some bad seeds in locker room... he may not be saban or harbough in terms of X n O but i think he has gotten a raw deal and i was super low on him through out seasom... lets see what happens nxt yr when he has a full recruiting class of his guys esp his QB

Seems like a good time.......

As a Miami fan I can say I hope Taggart is there for a long long time but I believe he will be gone after next season.

Sorry for hijacking this thread but just a couple more comments on FSU. I had them on Saturday and am happy they found a way to win but they are a disorganized mess. I fully expect Florida to blow them out this week.

I have wondered if Taggart is the right coach at a big time program, I wondered it at Oregon as well.

Given his history of the WKU build and the bringing USF back up after a couple down seasons does display that he can turn programs around. There is just no way I could support his firing after one season, even if they lose bad Saturday. This team was a hot mess in 2017 also, so it isn't like it just fell apart as soon as he walked in. Next year will be very important to show things are going in the right direction.

i agree tough to put everything on Taggart... one thing is for sure he is an excellent recruiter and he will put together some big time classes and he seems to have the wherewithal to know when to give up things IE calling offense..... i can see him being a figure head and putting top tier assistants around him as yrs go on kind of like dabo.... Also there was some unlawfully big expectations for FSU this yr given the talent on roster and the class he was able to salvage...... he is changing systems on both sides of the ball and all new coaches... I definitely have seen improvements esp on D... offense is always going to be very up n down because Francois is broken...... he is going to have a top 5 recruiting class this yr and next yr will be the challenge if he is able to handle a big tier program

This made it an easy bet for me when coupled with the other ole Miss guy. Thx.
