It will be interesting to see how the committee treats strength of schedule. Kind of wild to think that Texas would be left out, but if they lose again, their resume will not stack up all that well against other like teams, especially within the SEC.

Yes, given their schedule, Horns won't be in at 10-2 assuming a loss in College Station. That Saturday is set up to be very interesting.

We've been scouting tickets for Texas / A&M game and the get-in is $650 to sit in the upper deck, essentially in another zip code for anyone that's been to Kyle Field. This is a stadium that seats 103,000 and just to get in is a beating of a price. The anticipation for that game is like nothing I've seen in a very long time in the state.

If Gamecocks win against Mizzou that would be the first time since 2012 of having a four game SEC win streak. If Gamecocks win by 10+ that would be the first time SC has ever won four straight in SEC by double-digits. The defense looks damn good with plays being made at all levels. Sellers has finally come into his own and is playing at the level of his highlight tapes from HS. His biggest flaw so far is overthrowing when on the move but he made some big plays the other night. Rocket Sanders is healthy and is the first back to back 100 yard rusher since Mike Davis. If they keep playing the way they have they should make easy work of Mizzou but you never know when Dr. Jekyll will show up.

Seemingly improving each week so far.

Great to see this game back and who knew the implications would be this high?

Tenn schedule pretty Weak too. Only 2 ranked teams.

Yeah, there are Longhorn friends who "never wanted to play A&M again" after the last one in 2011. If you make that statement then you really don't have much of an interest in college football. It's a prime example of what epitomizes the sport: clash of cultures (very big clash of cultures), families on both sides of the ledger (mine included), elite HS talent that played against each other, a ton of hatred, and lots more.

It's been 13 years and I can't wait. Get your popcorn.

When you haven't played anyone and you get a chance to play a someone, then you win that game to show you deserve to be in.

I'm realistic. Looks to be coming down to College Station. Although I'll never underestimate the brand issue and how it plays into decisions, viewership, etc. I'm not saying that's right. But it is reality.

this, the other way

First time ever the Gamecocks have been favored by double digits against a ranked SEC opponent
In 1995, they were -13 against UK. They lost 35-30.

In 2014, some sources have them as -10 against A&M, others at -9. Lost 52-28.

No one likes FLA with Lagway back?
How much will they run him with a gimpy hamstring? Seems like that's the kind of injury that would be easy to re-injure. I'm on the fence on who to take here. Any signs from the LSU side that they are going to mail it in the rest of the season? They still have an outside shot at making it to the SEC Championship game, so plenty to play for

I wouldn’t say mail it in, but there are some defensive players that I’ve mentioned here enough that are a problem.
If LSU can stay out of their own way(coaching), they should roll FLA.

BUT, huge rivalry. Should be nasty out there.
The two undisciplined teams staring at each other in the mirror
