Cam is going to be treated differently than almost anyone else in the league. He may be the most polarizing player in the league, at the most important position in the league. If he's a WR, or DL, nobody cares as much. But if he's going to be as in your face as he is when things are great, yeah he's going to have to stand there like a man or else be roundly criticized. You can't say, "I'll stop dabbing when somebody stops me," then take your ball and go home when somebody does. But this has always been Cam. Probably always will be. He will still have his detractors for the rest of his career. And I doubt very seriously race plays much of a role, if any, at this point. This isn't Doug Williams in the mid-80s. People don't like Cam because he's a jack ass. But at least he isn't a problem off the field.
I'm not sure how he can look Thomas Davis in the eye now though
