Saturday discussion thread

Can’t sleep might as well do a little capping as it better than thinking bout Theresa and being sad! I have some things on my list of things to do I’ve started making so I could take baby steps back to figuring out life without her. I find this helps as looking at all the things I need to do is overwhelming so if I just tell myself to get this or that done the next day sometimes it actually works. I have so much to do and so little motivation at times but im figuring it out I hope.

after playing and losing Soto prop and the Mets game 1 I feel like it be a mistake not to come back and play again. Don’t think it matters whether I cap the pitchers or price it myself as I felt coming into series these teams are pretty damn close, game 1 wasn’t close cause Megil was crap and they walked Soto every at bat till the game was out of reach. if I worry bout the minor details I’ll talk myself off them and just like stros I’ll have lost game 1 then watch them win game 2 but I didn’t play cause looking at McCullers made it virtually impossible to get behind them but it didn’t matter. I don’t believe Mets are gonna get swept and fairly confident I can cash a plus money play this series I just hope it doesn’t drag into Sunday! Alonso making too much money to let them get away with walking Soto over and over, doesn’t he feel a bit disrespected? Dude hitting over .300 with a ops a few ticks above .900, you can’t let them walk Soto and not hit a 2 run bomb! Cmon, you struck out 3x after the 3 walks, Alonso can’t continue being their bitch!

If they line Tigers so low again I won’t pass, I trust Olson and like i said before gm1 the blow jays are perpetually overrated and consistently mediocre at best, something they doing wrong with roster construction up there. Tigers are just a way better team. I don’t know line or who pitching for jays yet but mostly it all bout price. Assuming they undervalue Det again I ain’t passing as they should win this series. I’ll be very interested in a olson innings or k prop as well.

Holy shit, not sure I should be looking to play nats again after getting fairly lucky to win game 1 but they went and made this price crazy high, Nats and o’s are not much different imo. Gibson is a freaking bum and even better Nats have raked against him, not sure im passing up a price close to +150!!

Do we just auto play the over in Miami or did I screw up not plsuing it game 1? I know I fucked up not playing the pitcher k props I talked bout but as I said even w an under lean that game went way over, they gotta be juicing the baseballs at marlins park! I don’t care it just very odd how often overs been hitting the last year plus!

@BiffTFinancial I think was right there gonna be a bunch of punch outs in the Phillies pirates series, afraid wheeler number be at least 7.5 w some juice, I’ll have to cap that to know if I’d play.

Im kinda baffled by the prices in the Stros/rangers series, it stros or nothing once again. I know this much, rangers got 2 total runs off a guy that doesn’t look right and Stros very good pen this past game and I don’t even have to look at his stats to tell ya there no fucking chance Tyler Mahle is gonna keep a era under 3 let alone 2 as it sits after 9 starts, that doesn’t make any freaking sense, he a decent pitcher and I’ll cap him before deciding on this game but unless rangers staff have something going on like giants where they have unlocked something in his pitch mix or selection I have to call bull shit on this sub 2 era from a guy I think far closer to a 4 era pitcher. What’s hilarious is he sporting this redic era despite having by far his worst k/bb ratio in his career, this is fugazi!

My crappy eyes are too tired to actually look at numbers tonight but those are pretty good jumping off points for what to look for i think.

I’ll have to look at the kid pitching for kc but my initial thought is under 8.5: you could def make a case for the cardinals, I’m still surprised they are winning and put up all those runs on Ragans and kc pen in gm1. Maybe it time to admit I got some kind of disgruntled fan thing going on and I’m not looking at cards fairly? Or maybe I’m making the same mistake books always do that make me love betting the 1st half the baseball season, continuing to look at a team based off my preseason expectations rather than believing the facts right in front my face! Fact is cards lineup has been way better than I expected, the pitching some guys in particular been way better, and I dunno the pens numbers but it a bunch of guys I don’t even know but they seem to be decent at least, I can’t even name their closer. Lolz

Scratch those cards thoughts as I thought I saw Liberatore pitching for cards but now i see Mikolas and Liberatore was the reason I leaned under.

Gotta lean Red Sox getting plus money but I leaned Sox in gm 1 also. I think Giolito is pitching better than the results have shown thus far, not sure why he not missing bats as his stuff doesn’t appear drastically different, for some reason he throwing a lot more fastballs which prob explains a lot of the contact as he not blowing it by guys.

They were basically the same price so I took tigers ml but I like Olson ov 15.5 outs about equally. His k’s ov 4.5 is just a little expensive but I think he hits that as well.

I wonder if anyone thinks o’s firing their manager matters? I can only name 4-5 managers out of the entire league, the ones I know either manage teams w big payrolls or make terrible desicions w the 2-3 things they actually can control. I don’t know the poor bastards name of guy they fired today and he been there 7ish years I believe! Did he play a part in the o’s success coming a year or so earlier than expected? Is it now his fault they playing like shit?? You more babysitter for grown ass rich men with to much money than you are able to impact what’s happening on the field. Other than pen moves what else do they do anymore? Are o’s gonna play better cause he got fired today? How does him getting fired impact whether they hit the ball or throw good pitches? Beats me, maybe the team hated him and they will respond but if that the case than why did they make the playoffs last 2 years? Is it his fault o’s have the worst ops vs lhp in baseball?

Give me

Nats ml +130

I don’t think it was the managers fault that Gibson is a dumpster fire and certainly don’t think he will now pitch better cause the manager got fired, far as I know Gibson didn’t know his name either!

,I like ours, gets crazy when people call for his head when Snakes miss the playoffs. He could be a lifer here for all I care. How he got us to the WS a couple years ago with where we were at the AS Break is a miracle.

Out of all the sports i think mlb manager is by far the most useless. There just isn’t much they can control outside of fucking up, don’t fuck up and I probably don’t know you. Really walking that lineup card out to ump and changing pitchers bout it for his job. They really can’t make much difference in the things that matter and more and more a computer printout telling them what to do about the few things they can control,

Man...

I'll always bow to your baseball knowledge over mine but dammit if Hinch isn't worth 6-10 tigers wins last year and perhaps more when all said and done this year...

The same guy in Balty made playoffs the last 2 years what has he changed to now cause his team to be shit this season? I’ve seen managers cost teams wins, pretty rare I think a manager has added wins. I could be wrong tho, it happens, lol.

Just right there in the subway series I thought mets manager was fucking retarded leaving that pitcher in to face Lemahieu but 1st pitch DJ hits a hard liner right at someone, so was that now a good choice? I’d say no but it worked and I could have switched pitchers and the guy I brought in hits hI’m giving yanks the go ahead run.

I joined among all my golf bets

While watching ponies today

No wonder attention drugs are a necessary evil

What golfers you on? I played Rory to win before Friday, his odds were crazy good and I was super happy til he blew the last few holes and sunk his chances. So today I got Rahm at more than 20-1 cause he had the score I was thinking Rory needed to have a chance after yesterday, plus he looked as good as anyone getting to the green, his putter just needed to work and he coulda been leading.

Whew, got him!

Mfer. I missed playing the over in Miami watching end the Mets game and lost track of the clock. Fuck, it already up to 9.5 from 8, lol

Just have some h2h matchups today, got Scottie and Bryson included in a couple of them but they were -350/-400 types each in their matchups. Combining them was -175 which I did do but also included each to bring juice down on a Fitzpatrick matchup and a couple Bland fades (he's 52 and on LIV, figure day 3 would be tough for the old bloke). Fading him tomorrow gonna be even better since they only play 3 rounds in LIV tournaments lol

Love how the Yanks broadcast crew claimed Judge got a couple good swings in that at bat. Dude was late AF
