Well, two picks stand out to me: Utah Jazz and Dallas Mavericks.

Jazz because Suns are on B2B up in Utah, fresh off the win over San Antonio where they expended a great amount of energy on defense and had a huge game from Alex Len. Spurs were able to pound the rock inside at times against the Suns, but that isn't what the Spurs offense is predicated around. They have more flow and ball movement, whereas Utah has big posts who get touches. Obviously, Suns have better guards but Exum + Burke might be able to keep up. This game will really be a test of Phoenix's depth early on this season.

Dallas Mavericks game stands out to me because who are the New Orleans Pelicans? Are they Anthony Davis and A white redneck looking dude who shoots 3s? Look at that bench, who is going to come off the bench and give me some consistent numbers...Austin Rivers or John Salmons? Thing is I know these Pelicans play inspired ball at home and Anthony Davis is the best player in the NBA...I really think Dallas has a better starting 5 and bench, so laying -1.5 seems awfully nice tomorrow afternoon. I'll have to look into this one more but Orlando was right in that game with the Pelicans until Ryan Anderson went off from 3 late in the third quarter....and Orlando is bad / lacks depth + experience

Played Suns for an average bet. Crawford 8-2 with Suns. Goble-? Last year he did like home dogs. Last ref know nothing really but Suns do well off the 4-7 range wins and owe Utah. Could see a loss but doubt it.

I like Heat and Under in Philly. I just really think that Sixers even worse than last season and just don't really try to play anything even close to basketball game.

I also like Detroit -3 today. Detroit under SVG should be a team around 50% and in the season opener at home, after losing the first two games of the season and with Monroe back in the lineup... Nets are decent, but Detroit should find a way to win here. Anyway, if it loses, I will chase Detroit win to the next game.

I also took Bucks +9. I really think that Bucks will be a cover machine and can become a dark horse in a race for the 8th place in the East. Wizards are much better, but I like Bucks in games where they are heavy dogs.

Last bet and I know I will hate myself for it, is Lakers +16. Lakers play poorly, but GS has a game in Portland tomorrow and I see no reason for them to blow Lakers out of the building. On top of that, Lakers played decent basketball last night and can compete tonight I believe.

Agree with Divol, especially in a game like tonight. Mavs have brought on many new pieces to their puzzle. It will take them some time to understand who they are. Pelicans have a top 5 player in the league, and a team that believes in what they are doing.
