I haven't dug into the numbers yet so I might yet be given pause to think again (ie. Clips on a B2B off an Over result, have no idea their inclinations here), but ever since Houston failed to get their offense going against the Spurs I pegged this game to see them return to their 210-220+ game totaling ways. I know without digging they're easily on their longest run of games this season (6) that have failed to see any losing team score 100+ pts (pretty hard for Over to lose here if the loser manages such a feat). Last meeting between the 2 here this season: Lac 117-109 final (206.0 line).

Thoughts on LAC/HOU sides guys? Lean HOU myself, double revenge, Harden off 2 subpar games, as a team 3 straight below 100 points and Clips playing 4 in 5 all road.

LAC hasn't lost 2 in a row for almost 2 months (Feb 3-4 last time. Jan 24-26 the last time they lost 2 straight to Western teams).

Since Nov 28, LAC has only had this 3-game SU w/l sequence: W->L->L occur 3 times (for the 2nd loss: twice they were road favs, once they were a home dog).

Dallas is 13-1 ATS off their last 14 SU losses, and 26-11 ATS their last 37 games (a whopping 70% win rate, for such a stretch of games).

Dallas has played as a Fav @home off a home loss 3 times this season with Dirk in their line up. One game they won 123-100 (-10 pt line), one game they won 110-95 (-8 pt line), and the other game they won 104-94 (-4.5 line) - all Over results. They led all 3 games by at least 11 pts at the half (their 2nd h efforts variously +8, 0 & -1 pts).

Furthermore, CP3 hasn't lost two in a row since January 2nd, 2013. The other losses were with him injured.

It must be noted that Houston is not only in a double revenge spot for this season, but is 0-5 SU against the Clips the last 2 seasons.

BC, are you insinuating that Clips are due to lose b2b games or that they simply rarely lose b2b games (making it a good spot for them)

Yeah, but Utah has the tiebreaker over Dallas, and they may wind up with that 8 spot after all.

James Harden (foot) will not playagainst the Clippers on Saturday.

In a week that has been loaded with bad news, this may have been the biggest. Harden has been the third best player in fantasy all year and fantasy owners are going to be hamstrung with him out. His foot injury has been bothering him for a while and there's a chance that he has to miss Monday's game vs. Orlando. James Anderson will get the start at shooting guard and guys like Jeremy Lin, Carlos Delfino and Chandler Parsons figure to have their roles expanded.

When I post a stat like that, HR (something akin to Miami's penchant to not have an Over result sandwiched by Unders, as I did before the Chitcago game), I'm merely intending to bring to the attention of people that *whatever* tendency for a team exists. That doesn't mean I do or don't believe whatever the tendency concerned is overdue a regression to the mean, due to having posted it (but if I felt such a regression was in order/was *due*, I'd state so outright - as I have done, incorrectly, with recent Houston total results).

Lakers will be in the playoffs, as long as they will win the games they are favorites in...

Amazing night tonight overall :)
