wow, last week was brutal , dropped over 8 units on the year on the cup side, time to get my head out of my ass, and be smart when it comes to plate tracks. Gonna look to have a good weekend at a nice track to watch some night racin on this week. Have already grabbed Harvick @ +1400, Hamlin @ +800,Stewart @ +800, Bowyer @ +2150 and Ragan @ +4250.

Yikes dude...

believe it our not, Looking at previous qualifying stats from last year at this track and the most recent at Pho. (somewhat close to Richmond) Kenseth had much better numbers than Kurt, and the Stewart/Klye Busch matchup was nearly dead even. Kurt hasn't qualified well all season where as Kenseth has actually done pretty well this year. Looking at value on Stewart, plus we have no idea where they will draw there qualifing number yet also. GL this weekend. :shake:

I went to the 06 race that Jr won...it's a great track..one of my faves..

The surrounding areas of Richmond aren't all that condusive to having a race though.

i was up there last year for this race. I loved that track. Some good racin. Wish I could make it up there for this one but having the bachelor party last weekend. im just going to sit on my couch and have a :cheers:

Jimmie Johnson - Chassis No. 461 Johnson drove this chassis to two victories last fall – at Martinsville (Oct. 2007) and Phoenix (Nov. 2007).

Carl Edwards - Chassis: RK-587, (A brand new chassis)

Tony Stewart - Chassis No. 161:This chassis saw its first action at Martinsville (Va.) in April 2007, where it qualified seventh and finished seventh, leading 11 laps in the process. Prior to the Martinsville race, its only track time came during a March 27 test at the half-mile Greenville-Pickens Speedway in Greenville, S.C., where former Joe Gibbs Racing development driver Aric Almirola shook it down. Chassis No. 161 had been idle since Martinsville until the No. 20 team tested it at the half-mile New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway Sept. 4 in preparation for its second career start at the fall New Hampshire race. There, Chassis No. 161 started sixth and led 39 laps before finishing third. It was tested a third time on Oct. 9 at the .455-mile Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, N.C., as the team readied Chassis No. 161 for its third career start at Martinsville in October. It qualified a disappointing 34th for that race, but rallied to pick up 21 positions en route to a respectable 13th-place finish. Chassis No. 161 was re-bodied as a Toyota Camry during the off-season and saw its first laps as a Toyota during a test at Phoenix March 3-4. It made its first start of 2008 at Phoenix in April, where in its fourth career start but first as a Toyota, Chassis No. 161 qualified 12th and finished 14th.


Denny Hamlin - Chassis JGR 166 hes hoping it will perform as well on the .75-mile RIR track as it did when Denny Hamlin drove it to a win at Martinsville only four races ago. In 2007, this car scored top-five finishes at Darlington (2nd - 5/07) and Dover (4th - 6/07) and qualified third at Dover in the fall before a wreck forced Hamlin to the garage and out of the race.


Dale Earnhardt - Chassis No. 88-490 . Earnhardt drove to a seventh-place finish on April 12 at Phoenix International Raceway.

Kevin Harvick - Chassis No. 242 Harvick drove to a 12th-place finish at Martinsville Speedway in March.

Matt Kenseth - Chassis: RK-574, A brand new car .

Greg Biffle - Chassis: RK 559 Last outing: Martinsville ’08 (Finished 20th)

Clint Bowyer - Chassis No. 212 Bowyer raced to a runner-up finish April 12 at Phoenix International Raceway. Built new for 2007, this No. 07 Chevrolet Impala SS sat on the pole and won last September at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Additionally, the third-year Sprint Cup Series driver raced this car to a 12th-place finish last September at Richmond and an 11th-place showing last November at Phoenix.

Ryan Newman - PRS-561: The No. 12 Alltel Dodge for Richmond this weekend is a brand new car for Newman

Kurt Busch - PSC-551 Dodge Charger in the Crown Royal 400 this weekend at Richmond. The car debuted in the April 12 Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix where Kurt started 40th and finished 23rd.

Jeff Burton - Chassis No. 204 Burton drove to Victory Lane earlier this season at Bristol Motor Speedway. Built new for the 2007 season, this is the same car Burton raced at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in September (st. 23rd; fn. 18th), Martinsville Speedway in October (st. 18th; fn. 12th) and Phoenix International Raceway in November (st. 12th; fn. ninth).

Casey Mears - Chassis No. 464 has been raced at Phoenix International Raceway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Martinsville Speedway in previous years.

David Ragan - Chassis: RK-573 Brand new chassis

Jamie McMuray - Chassis: RK-572 Last outing: Martinsville, April 2008; Finished 8th

Juan Pablo Montoya - Chassis #817. Montoya and the team have not raced chassis #817 this season.

Been a tough week so far, hit 2 of 5 in qualifying and was looking real good last night till the caution came out, should have had the race winner and hit most of the matchups, but got screwed on the pit calls and would up only hitting 2 of 5 and missing out on the race win. Tonight should be interesting for sure, hopefully Harvick can pull it out tonight as I am riding him pretty hard, glad I locked in Hamlin when I did as he pretty much has no value on the win right now. stewart, harvick and hamlin are the three i'm looking at tonight. was also looking at ragan in that match-up but haven't pulled the trigger on it.

i was right there with you in the nationwide race, would have swept if it was not for that caution.
