Won't be much in the way of writeups this week. Short & sweet.

I liked Messy State and Marshall anoche, but wanted 7 or less on the Blundering Turd and 9.5 or less on Messy State. Needless to say both numbers got away, but happily, the other sides got the keesh.

One play as of now:

Boise UNDER 61 flat medium. My number is lower on the game, which is keeping me off BYU. Boise still has it all to play for in league games, but this is not important in the grand scheme. BYU has big revenge, losing 7-6 last year up on the smurf turf despite not allowing a point on defense. Expect them to be ferocious again tonight and lay into the new Boise QB, who didn't get tested much by Reno's vanilla schemes in the second half after Southwick went down.

Oregon State +4.5 +103 and +101 big and +180 and +184 ML small to medium.

Been my favorite and most profitable team this year, why bother getting off the bandwagon now? Great spot for Oregon State, and I think this QB will give the Tree defense fits.

No concern about the mismatches in the trenches and the big step up in competition for the Beavs this weekend? I like what Oregon St's done this season, but Stanford's a whole different animal.
 
On the under as well. Inflated due to the Houston score last imo.

BYU's defense is still excellent, Boise's is much improved.

With the second string Boise QB, Boise ran the ball nearly 50 times last week, wouldn't be surprised to see around that number this week with much less success.
 
I made Mich State 8.5; Illinois has one edge in this game, the QB. None else.

Doggy - No concerns at all; Utah isn't any better than Oregon State and they held their own in the trenches at home, at the very least. Stanford with 10 days off before Oregon goes to the Farm. Spot greatly favors OSU.

Funny Rex, I feel the same way about Ore St that you do about the Illini with QB being their only edge. Health in Corvallis. Thx for the reply...
 
sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

Next: UAB +8 medium. I got a better price earlier but forgot to post as I've been buried. Still, it's widely available here and I'll continue to try to beat UTSA as the season goes on especially if they lay points.
 
Ball State -9.5 medium. CRIS guys like Akron again but despite their improvements, they run into a humming group of Nadders eager to impress in their last Saturday game of the year.
 
Arizona -12 small to medium. Just took a stab at a price. I made it 17, the other guy I swap with made it 17, and it opened 17. Why the 5 point drop? I like the Culorado coach but he'll need time; Rich Rod with too many horses not to extend the margin here.
 
No opinion there at all. I hope Tulane wins; I like what that coach is doing. Billy is on Tulsa; we'll see how it shakes out.

Air Force +20 small. Just taking a price here; can forsee the Flyboys doing enough to stay within striking distance for a good part of this one.
 
Oklahoma -6.5 small to medium. Made this one much higher but Walters is out on the favorite as we speak so can't wait out 6; it's only gonna go up...
 
i would bet Cal at +28.5 for sure and lean them at +28. Nothing else for now but I am off the clock, drinking bourbon and watching all 3 late games sans Hawaii (yes, I know, what happened to my degenerate gene? do not ask)...
