One of those trades that is good for all of football. Now the fans to get to see how great this guy can be on a contending team. (Would have posted on NFL board, but looks like no one is ever on there)

Sources: Raiders to trade Maxx Crosby to Ravens for two 1sts

The Ravens have won the Maxx Crosby sweepstakes, beating out the Cowboys and others by sending 2026 and 2027 first-round picks to the Raiders for the star pass rusher, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

I didn't cry when they let Mack go, not gonna cry now. Great guy and player but how many games did the Raiders win because of him? As always, Raiders need to not blow it in the draft...

He’s likely damaged goods at this point if he’s not actively recovering from a specific injury but has chronic issues showing up in a physical?

Sounds like he’d fit right in with the 9ers now. Can rehab in the substation and start on IR and fit right in.

As they say, hindsight is 20/20. (I think that is the right use here...) Maxx making a vid, thanking the Raider Nation. I let you guys down, yada yada. Should have waited until Wed At Noon to do all that. Everyone, (Including the sports media) And US... Didn't stop to think, "This dude needs to still pass a physical. Like you said, IR when season starts. Dude still needs to heal that injury...

Baltimore totally misjudged the whole Linderbaum contract. Granted lv overpaid. But Could've picked up his 5th year option then tagged him giving him 2 more years with Prime Lamar. Now they get 1st back but no pass rush and no center. Im willing to bet Crosby comes back strong from all this. Guy doesn't quit. Baltimore seems like big loser in free agency so far.

Brad Holmes loves to sign and trade for injury guys... Go get him!
 
Here is what Crosby’s knee surgeon, Dr. Neal ElAttrache, said to ESPN this morning:


“Maxx Crosby is doing very well in the early part of his rehab and recovery from surgery to treat a significant meniscus tear and the related stress injury to the bone and cartilage in his knee. He is certainly on track in his planned program….he feels very well and is already much improved compared to before surgery.


“We truly respect the work of the Ravens staff with Maxx regarding the contract physical exam. We also understand the challenge the staff faces when tasked to provide a future risk assessment based on an evaluation early in the recovery process. This is especially challenging when dealing with an elite player like Maxx considering the level of commitment necessary for a team to obtain him. The timing of this assessment is unfortunate because the apparent risk will lessen as his recovery progresses and his return to performance over the next few months becomes clear.


“At this point, Max is doing
an excellent job attacking his rehab and his knee is responding very well. We look forward to Maxx returning to his elite level of performance this season as planned and for several more to come.”
