Seems like many like the Rockets to advance. Why all the love? Seems like the typical 4 vs 5 matchup with a slight edge to the 4 seed with home court advantage. Harden & Dwight? Depth?

I think that Portland is very mediocre team on defense and it's very hard to win the series, with bad defense, without HCA, against good offensive team.

Houston, with Dwight and Asik, has decent defense and better offense.

I think that Rockets can win one game in Portland and that means that Portland will have to win two games in Houston to advance and I doubt they can do that.

It's not going to be easy for Indy to win in Atlanta. 2-14 SU last 16 games in Atlanta.

To me the key is Beverly. IF hes still hobbling and not healthy then Lillard is gonna make it tough for Rox to advance. Harden is playing lights out right now though.

I like the match ups and depth for the Rockets - If Peverly and Howard are healthy enough which i believe they are, then their offense and their depth and just enough defense should get them 4 wins and that is all that is needed, ( don't need to cover a spread)

There are only 2 teams that are in the top 10 both offensively and defensively they are SAS 6/6 GSW 10/10

Miami OKC and the Clips are close Miami 12/5 OKC is 5/12 Clips 1/14

I can't give you the exact % but it's a very high % that the NBA champ is in the top 10 in both categories. Something like 3 times in the past 15 years
or so that they weren't. If you look at the numbers for the GSW

At 56/1 it's a huge overlay. I'm not saying they will win it all but they have a better shot then people are giving them credit for and possibly can get to the finals against SAS in the west.

Good thing the nba isn't all about one on one matchups. The blazers bench sucks IMO. That's going to decide the series. Plus the rockets have the best player on the court and it isn't the clown Dwight Howard

Roy Hibbert is a fraud. This guy is 7'2 but he plays like a point guard in terms of his rebounding. When's the last time this guy has gotten double digit rebounds? I just checked and he's only done it once in his last 24 games. Pathetic when you think about it. Shooting wise too he's a pussy. He's gone 14 straight games without hitting at least 50% from the field. You're a center, you play close to the basket, make your shots. The guy talks a big game in interviews, sounds professional, but he's soft. 27 years old, 5 years in the league and he's in his prime. SMH.

For the losing teams in game 1, all lines went up favoring them. All except for 1 game: the Indiana Pretenders where the line went down. Nobody has confidence in them.
