Pretty much a regular
In every game in this series so far, it seems that when prevailing overall opinion favors Philly, they underperform, and when people write them off, they rise up to the occasion. After Toronto pretty well dominated in gm. 1, people were writing off Philly and they won on the road as an 8 pt. dog. After that game, popular opinion was that ok, Philly made some nice adjustments, but Toronto will adjust to those adjustments, and its a bounceback game for Toronto, and they wrote Philly off again. Philly won again, this time in dominant fashion. Coming off of that game, most who thought Philly's gm. 2 win was a fluke were swayed, and Siakam was thought to be out ( he ended up playing, there was some late buyback but it wasn't sure he was 100%), and the prevailing opinion was for Philly to take game 4. They lost.
That game was close, and Embiid had a very subpar game due to illness, and it was felt that had he been healthy, that Philly would have won by a clear margin. Most felt Philly would come back strong in gm. 5. They got trashed. Then owing to that perforformance, people were writing them off in game 6, but they had a convincing win, and Embiid was an unbelievable +40 in the player plus minus ratings when he was on the court. In game 7, Philly is now again the more popular side. Past sentiment history, if applied to game 7. would suggest that this is not Philly's game.
This is just an observation. It may be relevant tomorrow, or not, or it may be conterbalanced or overpowered by other factors. Good luck to whomever you bet.
