I’ve never been sold he the guy, he had a fantastic 8-9 game run last year, he now has one the best RBs in the league, one the best play callers who I think has graduated from being one the best on score guys to now having the ability to learn from that script and get better later in games. And he has a stable of very talented young pass catchers.
Don’t misunderstand this cause talent wise I think he worlds better than Purdy but I do think he has gotten the same kind of bump Purdy got from having all Those things. While Purdy issue he not as gifted I’ve always questioned loves mental makeup since college, if wasn’t for that I don’t think he falls as sits. While I think he has matured I’m not sold on his ability to read defensss or anticipate throws. He has to see it before he can make it happen imo. I could be wrong on him but I still see the same things. Not from the maturity issue but just the fact he can’t anticipate like the great ones imo., I don’t think this a learned trait either, I don’t think it means he can’t play in this league but I do think it limits him from being mentioned w the top 5: best in the game.
Tonight will be interesting cause I think Seattle coach has big time defensive chops and their underwhelming numbers are misleading cause he had to deal with a rash of injuries while implementing his system. Since they been getting healthy and I think been catching on more this unit could be the best defense in football sooner than later imo. They have had several excellent drafts and I think it starting to come together. This game will tell us a lot. I’m not betting it but jf if I was I believe I’d play Seattle ml. Dogs in Seattle? I think this line is backwards. Maybe I will net it!
