I think the right move is to make the other team burn timeouts or have to drive with little time left. It's not like he was facing an elite offense.
Bama was a decent sized favorite that game. Can't recall exactly, but I think they were at least a TD fav.I’ve already bet Indiana. Whatever the discussion will be - and I’m sure it will be informed & smart - there is no way I’d bet the other side of this game. I’m not over-thinking it. I think Cignetti is the “new Saban” for what my opinion is worth. I’ll take the Heisman winner (he won’t be getting drunk etc) and the defense plus coach.
I’m in the truck doing some work but what year did Alabama beat ND in national championship? 2012-13? I remember that I was never going to bet against Bama (I think they were dogs?) in that game. Feel same about this one. I bet Bama and kept adding to it.
Took IU for 2.5 units and may add later.
Yeah may have been….memory fadesBama was a decent sized favorite that game. Can't recall exactly, but I think they were at least a TD fav.
Fernando reflected on that interception in some interview I saw. He said it did not discourage him, just had to get back to work or something similar. He sounded calm & convincingI watched the entire first game. Both defensive lines were really good, but Indy's was fantastic.
Dante was never comfortable.
Oregon scored 13 on offense.
That game, bouncing back from the pick 6, sort of spearheaded the rest of Fernando's season.
This is going to be a GREAT game.

Note that the play-by-play says IU was taking knees on its last possession around the +25 yard line even though they would (and did) leave a little time on the clock.

I want to be frank here -- this is the national champ game IMO
I think Ole Miss advancesWe’re going to see Indiana vs Miami in the Natty
I agree, they are very good and for some reason the public is all over MiamiI think Ole Miss advances
Well, I think the key here is the Ole Miss OL vs the Miami DL.I agree, they are very good and for some reason the public is all over Miami
I just now realized we went on a tangent in this thread.I'll post the percentage stuff tomorrow but last I saw was 54/46 of bets on Ole Miss Spread so nothing significant
Guess Miami bettors should feel good that they haven't removed the hook, no clue what the money is but at this point it's usually a sample size of at least 80,000 tickets
I just think Miami owns the LOS on both sides and it really doesn't seem that close to me
Haha woops, feel free to move itI just now realized we went on a tangent in this thread.
I just inquired with Mason about the college games to gather a different perspective.Indy was 64/36 I believe
Didn't look at totals
Well, I think the key here is the Ole Miss OL vs the Miami DL.
Start capping there as I believe that is the most important match-up in this game.
On that note, Ole Miss would do well to keep the pace up. Miami doesn't substitute all that much. We saw in the two-minute drill that Ohio State have their first success of the game last week doing as much.
Tech defense >> Indy and I think Indy is a top 10 defenseI tend to like Lanning's aggressiveness but he was 4 of 8 on 4th down against Tech with drives stalling at the Tech:
- 25
- 32
- 2
-46
That type of gambling works against a team that had virtually no chance on offense.
Different landscape vs. Indiana.
Yes, we know you think Moore sucks. I don't. And I will be betting on him in the rematch.Give me the much better coach and the far better QB and if I lose so be it so its Indiana for me.
You shouldn't let my opinions sway you at all.Yes, we know you think Moore sucks. I don't. And I will be betting on him in the rematch.
The OCD is borderline nauseating at this point. We ALL KNOW where you stand on everything. Just hope it doesn't cloud my judgment on this game.
They don't but I do value them to a degree. I don't think there's much difference between Moore and Mendoza and yes I watched Moore at UCLA and Mendoza at Cal. Quite a bit. Both elite pocket QBs with athleticism. Both prone to mistakes. Both NEED protection. Neither will have it at the next level nor likely in this game. You shouldn't let my opinions sway you at all.
Why didn’t Day script plays the way he did against Clemson in 2019?Exactly. Don't know why OSU didn't do more of the hurry up.
Only reason the QB play was brutal was because of the defense. If you didn't take that from the game it's not going to be much of a discussion. Oregon and Indiana are both insanely good up front. Not sure if you watched the first game, I did. And I don't think this will be all that much different and exactly why I want the points and do not want to give them. It likely comes down to a play or two on defense and giving points in that scenario is not in my recipe book.Beating an overrated Texas Tech team with brutal QB play is meaningless and I just can't get over letting James Madison get that late cover which is usually something Oregon doesn't do.

Tech defense >> Indy
I actually think Texas Tech was the closest thing I've seen to a professional defense in CFB since the year LSU failed at having to beat Bama's professional defense twice to have to win a championship. Actually I think Tech's was better in the grand scheme, but they are at least comparable. Hell they paid for it at least.Respectfully disagree but that's what this beautiful site is for.

You need to get that JMU game outta your head.Beating an overrated Texas Tech team with brutal QB play is meaningless and I just can't get over letting James Madison get that late cover which is usually something Oregon doesn't do.
Anyone using the JMU game for covering purposes has to look in the mirror and ask questionsYou need to get that JMU game outta your head.
They took care of business in the first half and coasted. This happens in football.
Texas Tech had a helluva defense and we saw that vs Oregon. They simply couldn't move the ball on a pretty solid Ducks D.
Indiana wasn't exactly going up and down the field in Eugene. They did what they do though -- make winning plays.
With that being said, Mendoza has grown a lot since then.
Texas Tech had a good defense but who exactly did they go up against. I’ll take Cignetti and Mendoza to do what they did in Eugene but I’ve been wrong before. You need to get that JMU game outta your head.

It was a purchased professional defense regardless of who they playedTexas Tech had a good defense but who exactly did they go up against. I’ll take Cignetti and Mendoza to do what they did in Eugene but I’ve been wrong before.
Money well spent but I have trouble trusting teams with weak schedules. It was a purchased professional defense regardless of who they played
I get it but was the big 12 really weak? Or is that just buying the narrative?Money well spent but I have trouble trusting teams with weak schedules.
