Flu updates Jump?

Attractive props perhaps here?

Ohio will run wild, as they have all year.

Clemson will pass at will against the awful Ohio defense.

Motivation factor for OSU? CUM's last team to lose a CCG went on to win bowl game 51-24...

Just some quick thoughts...discuss...

12 win teams after a loss faced 10 win teams three times, lost big SU/ATS all 3.
1 loss teams after L, not favored by 6.5 or more vs 1+ loss teams that did not win their final game by 6+ are 0-7 SU, 0-7 ATS. Play on CLEMSON +3

Those are some interesting situations.....bravo

Urban has to recruit in Florida so he will have his team ready. I just don't know how the tOSU defense will be improved. Leaning over as think both teams will score. Agree tOSU rushing props and Clem passing/receiving props worth a look.

Im going with Clemson. I understand Meyer has a good record in bowl games, but from what I've seen this bowl season, spread passing attacks have been giving major problems to defenses, especially pass defenses as bad as OSU. In the last 4 games, OSU has given up 31PPG. That includes 41 to Michigan and 35 to Illinois -- two medicore teams.

Wait a minute tOSU without Spence, Roby, & half the team got the flu bug (Braxton was sick all Tuesday). Clemson needs about 4 stops & they win cause tOSU won't be stopping them much

Its just email spam...

heres one I got yesterday

Bowl dogs of 6+ pts, won last game by 5+ as underdogs or small faves of 4.5 or less are 34-6 ATS if they do not have 2+ wins more than opponent. Twice against 1 loss teams after first/only loss, the dog won outright both times. Big 12 teams twice in this spot as underdogs, both times as double digit underdogs, both times won outright. This system is picking OKLAHOMA +17 but also AUBURN in the CH.GAME. Thursday play: OKLAHOMA +17

I'm mostly mush the last 3 days of college and I'm on Over 68 and 69 so it's prolly gonna be 30-27 someone.

big 12 teams in bowls w/7+wins, line from +2.5 to -4.5, even or less wins than opponent: 0-18 ATS if allowed <34 pts in last game (0-7 ATS/SU vs SEC). when applying a similar system against sec: bowl, 7-10 win teams, line<4, even or less wins, allowed <34 pts in last game: 0-15 SU and 0-15 ATS. (Big 12: 0-7 SU/ATS in this spot.) Combining the 2 trends we get 8-0 SU/ATS situation for SEC.
By the way, Missouri won 10 of last 11 vs teams with less wins (8-1 ATS last 9).
SEC is 17-5 ATS in last 22 Bowl games against B12.
MISSOURI +2

Why would the NCAA have 2 BCS games on at the same time (I know one game starts 30 minutes later)? I don't see how that makes any sense for them, being the money hungry sons of bitches they are and all.

Well technically there's only 1 BCS game tonight but I get what you're saying....the cotton is still prestigious

The NCAA has no control, Fox and ESPN do and there's no way either would want their game anywhere other than prime time

Imagine if Fox's one game started at 2:30 Pacific on a Friday afternoon

They could have been on 2 different days though, right?

Yeah, my bad. Why would they want a BCS bowl up against another bowl though...BCS or not? Even if they don't have control, it makes no sense for the networks to go up against each other when they could have easily played on 2 separate days.

Not when the rights to televise the game are sold, it's just business. Which day would you have it? It would compete with something no matter how you slice it.

Not sure which day, but any day other than today...up against another bowl. KJ, I know it was me that made the comment and all, but I don't see how you think this is a good thing, or unavoidable. The game yesterday didn't compete with another bowl, so you're wrong that it would have to compete with another one.

And it's bad business for the Cotton Bowl to have their bowl game go up against a BCS bowl. So, business or not, someone did it wrong.

My point is that there's a bowl game every f'n night, when wouldn't it compete???

Yeah, that Ball St/Ark St game is definitely worthy of being a stand alone bowl on Sunday nght. The NFL games will be over, so it wouldn't compete with them. Wouldn't it have made more sense to play that Ball St game tonight and the Cotton Bowl on Sunday night? There are certainly other ways the games could have been rearranged to make it work as well. Or, the game could have started at 5:30 today as opposed to 8pm.

Do you seriously believe that once Fox purchased the right to televise the Cotton Bowl, which isn't packaged along with the BCS, that they would choose to do that at 2:30 Pacific? Seriously Lareux, you are outdoing yourself with this one.

Sunday Fox, along with the rest of the world, will be committed to the NFL. Can't believe this is even a discussion, boo hoo, 2 games at once.

Yet they chose to put it up directly against a BCS bowl? I'd say you're outdoing yourself, but it's just you being you and saying the opposite of anything I say. Are you sure you're not a Wade alias?

And after the NFL games on Sunday is what I said. That may not have been the best option, you're right, but it was an option which is all you asked for.

I'm also not upset about it at all, I just think it's foolish, makes no sense, and will cost them viewers. Why would I care if they are on at the same time?

Cotton has been Fri night recently. Fox may get more viewers, network TV.

The Cotton is the defacto 5th BCS bowl essentially

dude gonna just leave it alone, like they care if it's up against a BCS bowl. I can't possibly see another time slot where they would get more viewership, they always have played on Jan 1 or after and Fox certainly wouldn't pay for it to be the 3rd biggest game on Sunday, and the last one at that.

You're right, they clearly don't care. I was just surprised they didn't care, and asked if anyone else thought it was odd, or made no sense. You were the only one to say you didn't think it was.

:shake:

Like Twink said, they've been playing on Friday nights for awhile now, Fox isn't gonna let someone else push the one game they pay out the ass for out of the way

I'm really confused as to why 5:30 EST was even suggested from a business standpoint

Ask BAR, he suggested it as well.

I'm asking in general, I'm assuming he said it as a fan but televising the 5th biggest bowl about an hour after lunch break in LA wouldn't probly be ideal

You act as if the networks care about those on the left coast. Please don't say they do either, because I'll use SD/Cinci this Sunday as exhibit A.

If it was LA/Cinci it would make a difference
