When I went through the New Mexico roster in August the defense looked like pieced together junk and the offense depleted. Every decent player had hit the portal. No way would I have them 6-3 at this point. Also along the lines of no one will talk about or even care, but New Mexico is 6-3 and bowl eligible for the 1st time since 2016. Jason Eck is an old-school, throw back cosch nd will be at a p4 school sooner, rather than later. Wisconsin could do alot worse than Eck.
LSU can’t take a flier right now. Just can’t.No one will talk about it because its Mississippi State but Jeff Lebby is doing a great job and it probably won't be long before a bigger program steals him away. I think he would be a great hire for LSU but it wouldn't be the headline grabber that the fans want.
So who's on the list if not a pretty successful SEC coach?LSU can’t take a flier right now. Just can’t.
I am pretty sure they are going to make Lane say no.So who's on the list if not a pretty successful SEC coach?
I don't understand the logic
Yeah I'm not using Lebby as a benchmark but assume Lane says no, then who is this homerun? I think that was the mindset with Kelly. Gotta try something else.I am pretty sure they are going to make Lane say no.
We can go back n forth all you want about logic and what makes sense, but I seriously doubt Lebby gets a look.

I’m not saying you’re wrong. It’s going to be real interesting, it’s very much a shitshow.Yeah I'm not using Lebby as a benchmark but assume Lane says no, then who is this homerun? I think that was the mindset with Kelly. Gotta try something else.
Damn they have open practice?I didn't play their 3.5 O/U but there was no way I could've bet the over.
My buddy goes to practice and has been for 20+ years. He said in July, it was the worst offensive line collection he had seen in the 20 years.
If you pay enough money they do.Damn they have open practice?
Lane should be the target but if they can't get him or another coach that would be considered a sure thing Lebby would be a great realistic hire.I am pretty sure they are going to make Lane say no.

Without a doubt. Some of these teams are going to have to come to the realization that they will be hiring a top coordinator.Freeze fired. Durkin to be the interim. This hiring cycle is going to be nuts
Be so awesome if Sumrall doesn't get offered LSU and then turns down War EagleFreeze fired. Durkin to be the interim. This hiring cycle is going to be nuts
Almost every UK fan I know wishes Stoops would be gone and Sumrall would get the job.Be so awesome if Sumrall doesn't get offered LSU and then turns down War Eagle
He'd deserve a statue
Now that seems like an incredible fit for obvious reasonsAlmost every UK fan I know wishes Stoops would be gone and Sumrall would get the job.
Well, they see IU and Vandy having football success and think that they should too. They have a lot of wealthy donors too, money shouldn't be an issue. Now that seems like an incredible fit for obvious reasons
Not really sure why a basketball school expects more than what Stoops has given them though. Competing in the SEC football grid should be the high bar for UK
I watched a fair amount of it, and your friend is right.A friend of mine went to UK/AU game and said it was some of the worst football that he's ever sat through.
Didn't watch a snapI watched a fair amount of it, and your friend is right.
The writing was on the wall last season when he brought Payton Thorne back for a second year. The fact they were excited when they paid for Jackson Arnold tells me they have no idea what a competent QB is supposed to look like. Cam Coleman has wasted 2 of his 3 years in college. He won't come to Tuscaloosa, but I bet he's in either Eugene or College Station next yearAuburn saw the same writing on the wall.
This is gonna be crazy
He could be. The arms race was starting…I said 2 weeks ago here if LSU had the money Kelly would’ve been gone….then they got the money.I still stand by what I said earlier that Jeff Lebby will be a great hire if someone is willing to take a chance and lets face it other than Lane who is really out there to hire.
Other than Lane who I expect to end up in Miami..... with the Dolphins who do you want.He could be. The arms race was starting…I said 2 weeks ago here if LSU had the money Kelly would’ve been gone….then they got the money.
I can’t even imagine the back door rumblings in the SEC right now…
Late to the party here, but so glad Herbstreit took a stand, and it's not just the kickers. We've got to do something about the shorts. It's almost got me rooting for some kid getting a helmet right to the knee.
Wow, finally.Locksley fired at Maryland. I can't believe he lasted 7 years there in the 1st place.
Agreed and they are the last team in Notre Dame way of sneaking in ..Pitt should be in top 25. Completely different team since the QB change. It’s a shame about the two blown fourth quarter leads as they probably should be undefeated.
What's wrong with you?I watched a fair amount of it, and your friend is right.
Part (most) of it was hate-watching a rival struggle. I also was fairly heavily invested in the under, and I was scared of OT, though it would have probably had to go to 10 OTs to hit the over had AU tied it in regulationWhat's wrong with you?
Subject yourself to that on a Saturday!?
Yttv and Disney did everyone a favor on that one. What's wrong with you?

Big ten has some weird officiating "stats".Not sure if anyone else heard Klatt on Saturday. During the 2H on Saturday, 7-1/2 games into the season, we had the first instance of a defensive PI called on Ohio's opponent. I don't know if this speaks to no one getting close to its those insane WRs or whatever. Ohio does throw a ton of outs which don't usually lend themselves to a PI call, per se', vs. things over the middle.
One of the craziest stats you'll hear.
Locksley not fired. It was false news.Wow, finally.
