Ohio State vs Notre Dame Discussion Thread

Could not believe Michigan beat Buckeyes as a three td dog, in Columbus, after beating Bucs the three yrs prior!
Everytime I go over this game tomorrow see Buckeyes walking away with it............then that Michigan game comes to mind.
Really believe that's the reason the line isn't double digits.
Liking 1st quarter under 9.5. Quarter betting is chancy though, one big turnover, special team play can spoil it.

Ryan Day in that pic looks like he wonders what's it like to be covered in gatoraide after the last game of the regular season. 😉
Got my 1st quarter Under. Thanks Irish!

I wonder if it would do better on a Saturday. Was on a holiday this time too, more people finishing their long weekend plans?

Holiday, inauguration....

Two blue bloods so to speak, I think that it would generally have potential ..

With that being said, with the champ game now 7-12 days later than usual there is quite the disconnect from the regular season as well.

I watched maybe 30% of the game. Part of that was conflicts but I wasn't super hyped up for it (and remember I had ND futures I was going to find easy to profit off).

They start the game early enough (7:30) but yeah the day needs changing.

Maybe a Thursday?

Tough to do Saturday unless you wait till the end of January and coincide with NFL championship weekend. The NFL will do no favors.

Maybe because the matchup felt so uneven. Notre Dame‘s side of the bracket was so light, so maybe fix the bracket disparity issue? But then again Ohio State was just so superior. But Ohio State vs Oregon in the final would have sold a lot better than vs Notre Dame
According to the CFB committee rankings, 6 of the top 10 were on the ND's side of the bracket which makes this factually false. ND knocked out some very good teams along the way.

I think you got real problems when 2 of the biggest brands in the game play for the Natty and the returns are shitty.
If I told you 10 years ago, people would think it would be up there with the biggest.

I think part of it is with the transfers, they really isn’t team identity.
Not to take anything away from ND and Ohio State but they were just two boring fucking teams. No personalities. Bland style for the casuals. Just seemed even with NF they couldn’t sell a story
