Off-season discussion thread

Not really sure what will come of this thread, but if you have random news or just want to post random thoughts, why not put them here?

Rhule came out today saying we won't have a televised spring game any more because all it does is show everybody else your players and then they start getting offers. Kind of sad, but makes sense.

I thought you meant no TV.

Actually having no game, eh?

That's wild.

I think there will be something. Ever know an athletic department to cancel revenue generating events?
Ole Miss did this last year. It resembled the Pro Bowl skills competition mixed with a county fair

We have a few tweets in here and I'll keep adding but Brad Powers does a great job of providing off-season content like this.

Big Ten Media days, in August, are in Vegas next year.

I'm seeing a lot of enthusiasm and also a sense of fear from these younger contributors on the recruiting sites.

I'm not even sure what Kirby is supposed to do about this. I guess come down really hard on the discipline side, but it's not like he can take their drivers' licenses away. Though I guess the state could handle that end of it.

According to my data and the history and records I keep. It most likely will be profitable fading Notre Dame in 2025. Looking back to last season their lines were very manageable. After their loss to NIL, sent everyone to bed. Then they were only -7 to the worst B10 team in Purdue.

Nothing but data applies to them thus far, they are one of the tops on my radar.

Interested to see who wins the qb battle in south bend. Angeli looked solid in the playoffs.
It is going to be an interesting battle. I think Carr has the highest upside. Minchey is probably the most athletic and we've seen Angeli can be productive. Spring Game is this weekend but that won't tell us much...at least I don't think it will.

Interesting side note is that Nico Imaleava is "holding out" for more NIL money or something like that at Tennessee. I wonder if the Vols come after Minchey since he's from Tennessee if he doesn't get a chance in South Bend.

We‘re getting farther away from the days where these guys valued their schools. This was supposed to separate them from the NFL. Now we get unlikable immature divas who just care about making more money for themselves

Somebody show him the playoff game tape
Or how about every road game except Vanderbilt. Or all the games where he failed to throw for 180 with all of those weapons around him. Dude is a poor man's Brock Purdy who himself isn't all that great lol

Thought i read unc is the front runner...
There was a fake tweet saying UNC was going to sign him, but I think they are out of it for now. Just saw that schools are waiting for him to come down on his demands. They think it should be closer to $1 million. His dad and uncle or whatever probably cost him over a million

Notre Dame QB Steve Angeli to portal. Good kid and hard not to root for. I think ND most likely told him he'd probably be behind Carr and possibly Minchey. Just my guess but I think this pretty much cements CJ Carr starts first week.
