Tyson Chandler C Sidelined Nov 19 knee Day-to-day
Latest News:
Tyson Chandler was on crutches after Monday's game, but said X-rays showed no ligament tears or broken bones - he remains day-to-day. Chandler added he may even return for the Hornets' next game on Wednesday night at home against Indiana. "I'm feeling good," Chandler said. "I'm hoping not to miss anything." Hilton Armstrong and Melvin Ely would likely get increased minutes if Chandler cannot go.

Chris Paul G Sidelined Nov 17 ankle Day-to-day
Latest News:
As expected, Chris Paul (ankle) is sidelined for Monday's matchup with Orlando. Janerro Pargo is starting at point guard once again. There remains no timetable when CP3 will return to the Hornets lineup. "If this was game seven of the playoffs he could play," coach Byron Scott said. "But this is the 12th game of the season and he's about 50 percent. There's really no need for him to go out there and try to play right now and risk getting it even worse."

Smush Parker G Sidelined Nov 16 ankle Day-to-day
Latest News:
Smush Parker scored eight points and hit two threes before limping to the bench with an ankle injury in the third quarter. The Heat could have used him late as Jason Williams was ineffective. Parker could be on the verge of more minutes when he gets healthy, so keep your eye on him.

...............so-the-FUCK-what...?

Darko Milicic F/C Sidelined Nov 18 thumb Out indefinitely
Latest News:
Darko Milicic (thumb) is out for Monday's contest against the Sonics. Milicic remains sidelined with a thumb injury, although the good news is that he was thought to be a game-time decision, but has been wearing a soft cast for the injury. Milicic is not out of the woods, but hopefully the injury is not as serious as the team initially thought. Hopefully, you reserved the former No. 3 selection for Week 4. Stromile Swift started in his place, although it was erroneously reported that Juan Carlos Navarro would make another start tonight.

things just CAN'T get much worse for the Clippers, right?

Cuttino Mobley G Sidelined Nov 19 groin Doubtful for Wednesday
Latest News:
Cuttino Mobley could be shut down for a couple games as he continues to try to recover from a groin injury. He's been playing through it, but is only at about 70% healthy right now. Get him on the bench if you can.

Quinton Ross G/F Sidelined Nov 19 knee Day-to-day
Latest News:
Quinton Ross left Saturday's game with a knee injury and will be questionable for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets. Corey Maggette and Al Thornton are expected to miss a couple games and Ross is now iffy. All three players should be benched, while Tim Thomas, Ruben Patterson and Cuttino Mobley should all be in line for extra minutes this week.

Corey Maggette G/F Sidelined Nov 17 hamstring Return early December
Latest News:
Corey Maggette is expected to miss 2-3 weeks with a right hamstring injury. He was originally to miss 2-3 games, but the injury was worse than originally diagnosed. Get him out of your lineup. Cuttino Mobley, Tim Thomas and Ruben Patterson will all see an increased role in his absence. However, Mobley may be sat down until his groin fully heals, meaning he should be on your bench as well.

Al Thornton F Sidelined Nov 16 ankle Day-to-day
Latest News:
Rookie Al Thornton will be a game-time decision for Wednesday with a sprained ankle. With Corey Maggette and Cuttino Mobley not likely to play this week, Thornton may be needed. However, he's a very risky fantasy play right now.

if it matters, he should be back next game.

Jason Hart G Sidelined Nov 18 personal Day-to-day
Latest News:
Jason Hart won't be with the Jazz for Monday's home game against New Jersey due to the death of his grandmother. With Hart out, No. 3 point Ronnie Price should back up Williams. Hart is expected to re-join the Jazz for Friday's game against New Orleans, their next outing after Monday.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim F/C Sidelined Nov 14 knee Day-to-day
Latest News:
Shareef Abdur-Rahim says swelling has gone down in his right knee, but he's still not ready to rejoin the Kings lineup. "We're just trying to wait and see, to give it a couple more days of rest," he said. "I'll probably get back in the swing of things maybe on Monday or Tuesday." Mikki Moore will likely continue to see more minutes with Abdur-Rahim sidelined.

Kenny Thomas F/C Sidelined Nov 14 shin splints Day-to-day
Latest News:
Kenny Thomas will miss Wednesday's game with a shin injury. Shareef Abdur-Rahim (knee) is also out, so Mikki Moore should get some extra run in their absence.

this might be somethign to take note of...

Darrell Armstrong G Sidelined Nov 14 thigh Return early December
Latest News:
Darrell Armstrong will likely miss close to a month after suffering a severe contusion of his right thigh in Wednesday's loss to the Celtics. He ran into a tough pick while not looking and probably injured other parts of his body, like his head and neck, in addition to the thigh. This should have no fantasy impact, although the Nets are thin at the point with Marcus Williams still recovering from foot surgery. Williams is due back in late November, so the Nets are even more hopeful than usual that Jason Kidd will stay healthy.

Vince Carter G/F Sidelined Nov 11 ankle Out indefinitely
Latest News:
Vince Carter did more therapeutic work Saturday for his sprained right ankle, and coach Lawrence Frank said he would definitely go with the Nets on their west-coast road trip. Clearly, he's getting closer if he's going on the four-game trip. "Whenever he's ready to play he's going to be out there," Frank said, "but he's not ready to play." Start Vince at your own risk for Week 4, but it sounds like he's going to miss more time.

My personal opinion is that VC will start when VC feels like it and not before. That could be for their next game, and it could be a month from now.

He has a chronic sore pussy regardless of other injuries.

Antonio McDyess F/C Sidelined Nov 14 shoulder Day-to-day
Latest News:
Antonio McDyess is expected to return from a shoulder injury and play Wednesday against the Knicks. Jason Maxiell has been nice in the absence of McDyess, but it sounds like things will return to normal for the Pistons soon.

Tracy McGrady G/F Sidelined Nov 14 elbow Probable for Wednesday
Latest News:
After a full practice with little pain in his elbow on Monday, Tracy McGrady said he's going to play against the Mavericks on Wednesday. "I'm playing," he said. "I feel good. I'm glad to be back on the basketball court practicing. I wanted to play the last game, but the doctors kept me out and gave me the opportunity to have three days of rest." Hopefully you put him in your lineup for this week after the earlier news that he was hoping to play on Wednesday.

Raja Bell G/F Sidelined Nov 17 ankle Day-to-day
Latest News:
Raja Bell will be a game-time decision on Tuesday as he recovers from a sprained ankle. He made it through Monday's practice and all indications are that he will play, although he could come off the bench behind Leandro Barbosa until he's back at full strength.

looks like the Suns are about to be back to full strength again...

Kurt Thomas F/C Sidelined Nov 14 hamstring Day-to-day
Latest News:
Kurt Thomas is out of the Sonics' lineup for Saturday's game. He is still nursing a strained hamstring, and is considered day-to-day. Nick Collison got the start in his place, and should continue to see increased production in Thomas' absence.

Luke Ridnour G Sidelined Nov 13 quadriceps Return mid-December
Latest News:
Luke Ridnour (quadriceps) is receiving daily treatment, which includes electronic stimulation and icing the injured area of his leg. Ridnour said he felt as if he was shot in the thigh when he partially tore his left quadriceps in the Monday's defeat in Orlando. "Sitting out is not fun, but God has a plan for me and I just have to be patient," said Ridnour, who remains with the team during its five-game trip.

Robert Swift C Sidelined Nov 13 knee Day-to-day
Latest News:
Robert Swift will not play Tuesday night because of right knee tendinitis. He was struggling during Sunday's loss to Detroit and is going to miss a handful of games as he recovers from ACL surgery, making him a risky fantasy play. Nick Collison will start at center.

God's plan for Ridnour is apparently that he lose and lose and lose, but with Swift being out, the plan might change from time to time.

Randy Foye G Sidelined Oct 30 knee Out indefinitely
Latest News:
Timberwolves point guard Randy Foye will miss at least three more weeks because of his left knee injury, coach Randy Wittman said after Monday's practice. The injury is healing well, but more time is needed. "They think it's best for him right now," Wittman said. "The thing's healing, it's just not all the way there where (the medical staff) would like to see it." A CT scan on Oct. 30 revealed he has a stress reaction in his left patella. He's going to be out of shape once he's cleared to play, so it could be a month before he's fully ready to go, barring any setbacks. In the meantime, the Wolves will rely upon Marko Jaric and Sebastian Telfair while Foye is out. This is bad news for his owners, but at least we finally got an update.

Matt Barnes G/F Sidelined Nov 18 personal Return late November
Latest News:
Matt Barnes is expected to miss the Warriors five-game road trip to stay home and be with is ailing mother. Barnes has missed some practice time because of the situation, but maintains it has had no bearing on his play. Stephen Jackson will return to Golden State's lineup after serving his seven-game suspension on Sunday. Make sure you reserve Barnes for Week 4.

Gilbert Arenas G Sidelined Nov 17 knee Day-to-day
Latest News:
Gilbert Arenas sat out Monday's practice to rest his sore knee in hopes of being able to play on Tuesday. If he plays Tuesday the key will be how he feels for Wednesday against Charlotte. His late scratch on Saturday was a surprsie as he was involved in all pre-game drills. Once he felt some soreness, the team’s medical staff decided that it was best to sit him out. They play two back-to-back sets this week, and Arenas has really struggled on the second end of back-to-back games this season. Start him at your own risk.

as noted above, Gilbachi expects to play. My guess is he'll lie about it if he feels discomfort so he can play....

yeah, my clips are really hurting. they only had 6 players available for practice and are just watching film and doing light shooting. maggette being out really just cripples this team especially with mobley not healthy.

the clips have a brutal stretch of games coming up, next five are Denver, Phoenix, N.O., Houston, and Denver again. im thinking mobley might shut it down for most of these games since with out maggette and others, it might be impossible to win these games anyway. might be better for him to heal up and come back 100% with maggette

clips will be a good fade over the next 5 games :(

methinks you're right straight up.......

but the lines should be extremely high, and Phoenix likes to let backdoors come in...

yeah you are right with the suns line since they will be at phoenix, i would expect to see a double digit spread. the games though against denver, n.o., and houston are at home so they could all be 5 or less depending on mobley

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Larry Hughes out up to 4 weeks with leg injury
by Branson WrightFriday November 16, 2007, 11:50 AM

small_hughes0511hickman.jpg
Roadell Hickman/The Plain DealerLarry Hughes is listed out for tonight's game against the Jazz and could miss four weeks.

Cavaliers guard Larry Hughes is expected to miss up to four weeks of action with a deep bone bruise in his left knee.
An MRI on Thursday revealed the bruise in his left fibular head, along with soft-tissue swelling. The injury happened on Nov. 4 in a loss at Phoenix when Hughes collided with Leandro Barbosa.
Misfortune has followed Hughes for the past few seasons on and off the court. On the court it has been injuries. Off the court in 2006, it was the death of his brother, Justin. Over the summer, Hughes' wife, Carrie, had a brain aneurysm. She is recovering. Hughes also had an aunt pass away.
"Forget the basketball part," Cavaliers coach Mike Brown said. "I'm talking the deaths that he's had in his family and then the injuries on top of that. I thought he had a good summer. He came in with the right frame of mind, and now for something like this to happen, it's a tough situation."
The Cavs (4-5) play Utah (7-2) tonight at the Q at 7:30. Eric Snow will be activated for tonight's game.
Hughes is averaging 6.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game in 6 games this season. He is shooting 29 percent from the field.
Hughes has never played a full 82-game season in his career. He has missed 61 games in his three-year stay with the Cavaliers including 46 games in 2005-2006.

5 or less would be dreamy...
