Figured it was time to start one of these things to discuss the off-season. Could have named the thread “What will pizza boy do next to sabotage the Rangers” but I figured it would be best to open it up to fans of all teams not just the one run by the biggest idiot GM in the history of the sport.

So the first move for pizza boy is trading home grown consistent 30 goal scorer Chris Kreider who plays his best in the playoffs something pizza boy will never see again as GM of the Rangers to Anaheim along with a 4th round pick for a scrub prospect with 4th line upside and a 3rd round pick. This GM decides he’s going to trade a player and gives no regard to what he is getting in return. No question Drury is the worst GM I have ever seen but if Dolan likes you he extends you even if you suck.

I will use this thread to trash pizza boy whenever he makes moves because each one is worse than the one before it.

End of rant…….. for now.
 
Hellebuyck winning the league MVP is a complete joke. I know the playoffs don't factor in these things but the MVP of the league is not a goalie that is consistently terrible in the biggest games. The only way a goalie should ever win MVP is if they lift a bad team to the top of the league which is definitely not what happened with this guy.

I know he wants to keep his young kids.

Understandable.

But, time to let a few of them get their feet wet.

And, spend money this summer.

Pieces are there.

I'm fully expecting disappointment.

After what he did in Tampa you had to think Yzerman was a dream hire so it has to be extremely disappointing to see how its gone so far.
 
Bennett had a great playoffs but whatever team gives him 10 million a yr will regret it immediately.
 
Drury gives away a consistent 30 goal scorer in Kreider but it sounds like he isn't going to force out the ballerina Mika Zibanajed. If you told me that Drury was being paid by a rival team to sabotage the Rangers I couldn't give a viable explanation why that isn't happening.
 
Philadelphia stole Zegras from Anaheim. If Drury had half a brain he would have gotten him as part of the Kreider trade but no pizza boy only likes 4th liners and guys on long term deals that are on the downside like JT Miller.
 
Drury might have come to the realization that he is indeed the dumbest GM in the history of the Rangers so giving up this pick is smarter than potentially giving up the first overall pick in the next draft.

This Gavrikov guy is a mediocre defensive defenseman who offers no offense and is coming off a career year. Only a fool would give a player like this a 7 yr contract at 8 million per season but the Rangers employ the dumbest GM I've ever seen.
 
Who the fuck is Albert Johansson. I was hoping he would get an offer sheet and the Rangers would get a first and third round pick but no Drury would never get market value for anyone he trades away.
 
Sounds like Miller is going to Carolina and not Detroit. I’m always looking for first round picks but Carolina is sure to be drafting far later than Detroit. Then again the Rangers are probably not even getting that much back in the deal.
 
The pizza boy sure loves to sell his assets for pennies on the dollar. For the record he’s not the player he should be with his physical attributes but he will definitely play better with a real franchise than he has with this joke of a team.

Miller to the Canes 8 years $60. Not sure what NYR is getting in return of the sign and trade.

With a good coaching staff that could end up being a good deal for Carolina. Its Drury so I fully expect an underwhelming return plus the Gavrikov deal to replace Miller was a gross overpayment so the clown show continues.
 
A late 20s pick and a second rounder is not enough but for Drury its not the usual embarrassing fleecing. I'm guessing that Detroit wasn't offering their first round pick which will almost definitely be better than the Carolina or Dallas selection.
