Friday 11/2 is the start of my season, so any plays on that day going forward are live. I kind of wished I had played all these too, but oh well...

charvik, why on your under system are you trying to win 2.15 units in game 1/3 for the lightning /rangers matchup. Is that acopy/paste error, or did you recalculate or something else.

so... thoughts so far...

I will avoid playing the Flames on the UNDER system. They have been involved in shootouts every night (or so it seems)

also looking to avoid Ottawa and Carolina on the road.

Does anybody have other teams?

i'm a little worried about Det on the road as well.

Hey Charvik,
Just curious if you have goals set for these systems? I think you mentioned if you get to 200 units you are going to stop, is that the case? It would seem that should be easily attainable between all 3 systems, no?

Also, do you recommend 200 units for ea. one of these systems?

Good luck I think I'll be joining you this year!

Well, it's to recover the lost units on the one loss. I figured $$$$ posted the right number in my absence last week...

Well, I will be playing the UNDER and the "short" system, so if I hit 200 I will stop for sure.

Good point.

I would even throw the buffalo sabres and possibly colorado in there too.
hmm... I haven't been as impressed by the Sabres this year, but Colorado warrants a second look. I will be looking at both for the future. Thanks!

Sorry!
i meant sabres for the Under.

charvik, you gonna be playing the chases now??

hope we all make some serious units!

it'll be interesting to see the Flames total tonight.

as for Det, although the past does not always predict the future--and i still plan to keep an eye on them--they have NOT swept a three game road trip in the past two years.

That's a good point, and while I normally like historical angles I think this year could be different. I will definitely look and see what opponents are in the pipe before commiting to a series with them.

The Preds/Flames tonight is at 6 and I think that's too low. Last year the Flames played a very defensive game at home though and the preds have had road woes... I will not play it (outside the systems), but track for system purposes...

allright guys... no plays today, and the "preseason" is over after Thursday... I will post Thursdays plays tonight and the "new" format for the real plays.

I will look into each series and do a risk analysis...

Charvik

FInally the "preseason" is over after Thursday...
Count me in for the real plays.
Not played NHL ever.Just some Finish hockey a couple of years ago.

Looking forward to a great season with this system.

EDizzle - Thanks man, it's an interesting spin and can be profitable for sure.

Kentri - Thanks, let's hope we get to the 200unit goal early! ;)

Just a couple questions for you.

The Road Chase System "complete".....i'm assuming this is for the series? correct?

And the Road Chase System "short" is just for the 1 game?

Thanks, i'm new to hockey betting. Trying to learn as much as I can.

I think all is explained in the thread to date... have a look through it and I'll explain if you still have questions...

glad to see you betting the games charvik!

with the flames loss today, i was wondering if you can tell me how many chases are left for the road fade??
Thanks!

well, DET completed the sweep last night.
and dang if BUFF didn't put a dent in the under system.

anyway, gentlemen, start your engines.....
the race is underway.

Allright, the "final" preseason results (some chases still to be completed. I will check them for tracking purposes but not post them.)

YTD:
Road chase complete; 27-1, +30.49 (2.75 units in 2 chases remain, changed goal/series would be 1.09)
UNDER; 26-2, +23.019 (4.3 units in 1 chase remains, changed goal/series would be 2.21)
Road chase short; 27-1, +20.49
------------------------------
Total: 80-4, +73.999 (7.05 units in play); (3.90 in loss if I were to end it today)

Charvik,
If I just want to follow the under and 'short' systems what size bankroll would you suggest? I see from previous posts that well over 100 units is needed but it seems that was referring to the 'complete' system....i could be wrong. I just want to make sure I have the right bankroll size calculated for following these two systems. Thanks in advance for your reply!

really? interesting...I thought from reading the posts the series wouldnt go deep enough to warrant risking huge units. ok thanks !

that is true, as we have gone deeper in the past years, you may be right, but this is what I am doing :)
Yeah, I am doing the same... the series won't go as deep, but I expect more losses during the year as well, so I want the deeper bankroll to cover for larger bets this spring.

I am doing 200u for the short and 200u more for the UNDER system...

Can you guys clarify? What do you mean when you say "we have gone deeper in past years" ?
Do you mean the chases go deeper?? Or you didn't stop at 3 games???

Also, can someone tell me the remaining chases left for the road fade?
thanks!

Yes, last year I went all the way through. If it was am 8 game road trip I played all 8 games.

The remaining fades for the pre-season was Flyers and Preds today.

...........as opposed to this year where you are only playing 3 games deep???
1st 3 games of the road trip????
or last 3 games of a road trip????
If the win comes on the 1st game...............do you start again with the reamaining 3+ game series????

Thanks,
GLTU

yes, but I might make exceptions depending on the situation...
1st 3 games of the road trip????
yep!
or last 3 games of a road trip????
no.

That's what I did last year, but not going to repeat that again... too costly.

Thanks,
GLTU
