They should seeing as how they spent $250 million for the next 3 seasons' rights. It probably won't take too much 'shoving' for people to watch though.

They think they will pick up new viewers. They may not, but they certainly think they are going to.

In reality, "they" (NBCSports network) will be picking up new viewers most likely, since there was nowhere to watch the EPL in the US up until they picked it up. They may not convert guys who already watched their sports coverage to soccer watchers, but they will definitely gain new viewers (soccer fans who really wanna watch the EPL).
