NFL In-Game Thread 2025-2026

Saw something predicting Jameis ends up back there. He's gonna collect dust behind Russ and Dart, no reason for the Giants to keep him.
Jameis can win that team 5 or 6 games especially considering the division and thats the last thing that team needs to do.

I get it but have a hard time believing they want to start a new coaching regime out like this

the Fbomb is so versatile. It fits in all grammatical structures.
Incredible point. My interpersonal communications prof in college made this a point in the 90s. Fbombs are part of everyday vernacular, deal with it, use it! But use it as a means to enhance the description of something, not to demean or belittle (ie fuck off or fuck you). Dude was fucking intelligent and ahead of his time.

Pam Oliver is getting shown in a bad spot, wow. She’s done after this season, maybe week 6.

Why would she ask Josh Allen if he's disappointed in the team drafting defenders heavy ???

His offense scored the most points in the league ( playoffs included ) and set the franchise record ...

Lack of defensive depth has burned this team the last 3 seasons in the playoffs ...

Does she write her own questions ?? If so , stop asking them

boooo
"a good call" on the horsecollar.
if you dumb enough to be in that situation you deserve to get sacked.

Auto Bengals overs this season. I’ll take my chances and will even tease these sumbitches. Their D is a sieve.
I do not like this at all but good luck. Not like I bet season wagers but I think they're at best battling for #2 in the AFC North (I prefer Pittsburgh) and the public love is bonkers. They are a fringe playoff team.

I’m not buying either.

It's crazy. Having been away from fantasy football for years, I still know the strategy. Draft guys on teams that will score. Bengals certainly are in that category, no doubt. But you know who should score on them? Ravens twice, Steelers twice, Browns twice. Then the rest of the schedule.

Joe Flacco named the starter in CLE. Just for fun I took the last two years from Flacco and Rodgers and compared them:

Flacco - Comp % = 63.1, TD% = 5.5, INT% = 3.3, Y/A = 7.5, QB Rating = 90.4, Sack % = 5.44
Rodgers - Comp % = 62.9, TD% = 4.8, INT% = 1.9, Y/A = 6.7, QB Rating = 90.4, Sack % = 6.55

Very, very similar results at this point in their careers. Rodgers a little more careful with the ball, Flacco a little more of a downfield gunslinger.

Recapping which teams have been playing their key players in the preseason, and which haven't:

NFC East - Giants about as many reps as any team in the league, Washington put Daniels out there for a drive yesterday (he looked great). Eagles no, Cowboys hell no (they backups have looked awful).

NFC Central - Vikings rolled McCarthy out there Week 1, Bears played Caleb and Co. Sunday night (looked good), Pack put Love out there Week 1 and he got dinged up. Lions no.

NFC South - Saints have been waging a QB battle, Carolina has give Young reps both weeks, Tampa has given Baker weekends off but Bucky Irving has played. Falcons no.

NFC West - Saw Purdy & Niners get some work this week (no CMAC), also saw Darnold & Hawks get some (looked good), and Kyler & Cards got a healthy dose Week 1. Hell no for the Rams.

AFC East - Jets are trying to get Fields goings, Maye has looked decent getting some snaps, while the Fins rolled out Tua and Achane and moved the ball but again struggled inside the 5 to punch it in. Bills are a no.

AFC North - Saw Burrow & Bengals get some work both weeks (mixed bag). Browns are a no, Ravens have looked great while playing only backups, and Steelers are a no as well.

AFC South - Jones & Richardson battled for Colts, Lawrence has played quite a bit, Cam Ward has played a good bit and even Stroud and Houston have done preseason work.

AFC West - Chiefs had Mahomes out there for two plays. Geno, Bowers and Co. have played for the Raiders and looked OK, Herbert has gotten some work this week and Bo Nix played and struggled a bit Week 1.

It hasn't been like years ago when teams would do dress rehearsals along with game planning for a half or more, but 22 of 32 teams have put their starting QB on the field for at least a drive or two. 10 teams (Eagles, Cowboys, Lions, Bucs, Falcons, Rams, Bills, Browns, Ravens, Steelers) have not. Of those ten, six play each other week 1 (DAL/PHI, TAM/ATL, BAL/BUF). The other four: DET (dog)/GB, HOU/LAR (favored), PIT (favored)/NYJ, CIN/CLE (dog). Not much in actionable items there.

I hate preseason but at least have kept up a bit on the Cards front

Last Thursday was Cards/Broncos joint scrimmage and by all accounts Kyler and Nix were both impressive. From everything I read McBride stole the show outside the hashes which makes sense, Kyler trying to stay in the pocket longer but struggles with over the middle stuff due to height. Sounds like Benson will be getting more of the load share this season, Conner is 30 and had the most rushes in any of his seasons last year. Only one 30+ with more was Henry and he has no real history of being injured. Not one who does fantasy these days but I'd prefer Benson over Conner later in the season. McBride should be treated like Kittle at this point.

Also notes from that scrimmage

Marv Harrison is up to 220 lbs, lots of work on the frame in the off season. Separation? Speed? Question marks.

Kyler also had two out of the EZ passes on fades but both were heavily covered so that's a positive in my book as opposed to forcing it

I've seen analysis that says the Cards have the most favorable schedule in the league for a QB this year. Just got him at pick 100 in a ten-team league as the last person to grab a QB. Thought it was pretty good value.

Great value ..Even in a 10 team he should go no later than the 8th ..

Love the strategy of waiting to take a QB( the position is deeper than ever in the pass pass pass NFL ...

...Just curious brother , what's your team look like ?

So it's 10 team, half PPR, I drew Pick #1....
QB Kyler (Rd 10)
WR Chase (#1)
WR Worthy (4th)
RB Kyren (2nd)
RB Bucky (3rd) - with Chase I was comfortable hitting the first turn with two potential RB1 guys.
TE Hockenson (Rd 8)
Flex Higgins (5th) - was thinking of stacking Burrow with Chase but thought it was too early to take him (could've taken DK or Harrison)
BN Ridley (6th) - compounded error of Tee by taking a 3rd WR with week 10 bye
BN Kaleb Johnson (7th)
BN Golden (9th)
BN Skattebo (11th) - have some nice upside guys in Kaleb, Golden and Skattebo that hopefully shine 2nd half of season
BN Fields (12th) - been liking him as a late round flyer
BN R White (14th) - was either him as a Bucky handcuff, Quinshon Judkins or Blake Corum as a Kyren handcuff
K Lutz (15th)
D Pittsburgh (13th) - Eagles and Denver went in Rd 12, down to RB dart throws I took a plug and play D

I meant game totals over. Their defense is suspect much like last year. They don’t tackle well. Combine this with their offense, Ill take my chances and will also tease this.

Wow ..You did fantastic imo ..Chase and the 2 rbs off the top would be exactly the route I would take . Sky is the limit for Worthy , and there is no reason that Higgins should have been there in the 5th. That Bengals squad might score 35 a game ( sure they might give up 42 lol) ...
Ridley should see a ton of targets. Kaleb should steal the job sooner rather than later. Hockenson is a player id definitely grab in the 8th .
Golden is on about 80% of my best ball teams , he's now going as early as the 6th round.
As you mentioned you have some excellent young players with great 2nd half of the season potential....Fields might be a top 10 QB for fantasy .Kyler might have his best fantasy season to date ..

Not that it matters but I've already done 2 league drafts and about 40 best ball drafts ...Our rankings and thought process on drafting who where , seem very similar...

I pick 2nd in my big $1k entry draft. have taken many of the players above on mocks ..Especially your top 4 and Golden

2nd pick is a nice spot to be....I kinda like a spot near the turns, seems like I can anticipate runs better. Drafting from a middle spot it feels like you're always chasing the back end of runs. At #2 I would assume it's either Bijan or Chase and then that sets your path for the next half dozen rounds.

Always hate drafting in the middle for the reasons you mention. The player you don't pick always seems to go right after your pick as well lol ..

Chase or BIJAN for sure at the #2 pick. No way would I touch Barkley after over 400 touches last season. GIBBS might be my 3rd player ( but unless Chase or BIJAN gets hurt before sunday's draft GIBBS isn't even an option );...
Probably go back to back Running backs at picks 23 and 26 regardless of Chase or BIJAN.
Definitely hammering WR in rounds 4-6 ...I'm high on Worthy , Metcalf, Dj Moore , Sutton, then Diggs and Golden in rounds 6/7 ...

Immensely appreciate your valuable time on this subject ..

The Dallas losses on defense weren't limited to Parsons. DeMarcus Lawrence and Jordan Lewis were big. Diggs hasn't seen any time coming off his injury. We'll see what he can do tonight. Sans some weirdness Eagles should be able to go up and down the field.

Like the over quite a bit and the Eagles as well. It's a team that absolutely hates the Cowboys and will do anything in its power to bury Dallas.

34 - 20. Ish.
