NFL In-Game Thread 2025-2026

Well if you want that to be offensive we'll have flags on every play

Hines Ward would have never had a reception. Hell no physical receiver would.

True but the delicate gentle WRs like Todd Pinkston would be in the hall of fame now lol

Can't believe instead of grocery shopping this morning I watched that shitball game in London and put it of til tonight during this one. Was storming so decided to wait but braving a t-storm would have been more bearable than whatever that game was

I don't want it to be anything. But I think kelce plays this Yag little game where he crashes into a guy and then when the guy is physical back, he cries to the ref. Its bullshit.

Wasn't physical though. He grabbed the inside of his jersey. Penalty every time. Be physical, don't cheat, no flag.

That's how you defeat a block which is what Kelce is doing. He's blocking. He's not running a route.

Right, but thats the game. He runs full bore right into the guy and then when the guy uses his hands, he then tries to run away and says he was held. Thats the bullshit part.

Go watch the play again and watch kelces arms. He's grabbing the DB with both hands. Why would you grab a guy when you're running a route to get away from him?

Dead battery means no going anywhere tonight

We have to change them out every two years here almost like clockwork so figured it was coming

Yep. Rather than being down 1 score and playing to try tie it, that double dip has put Detroit in constant down 2 scores trying to cut it to 1, chasing them but can’t stop them at all

That's the book now when down 14 and score td. I dont get it or agree. About 2/3 of coaches doing it now.
I've only heard it as an explanation as to why the road team would do it because the school of thought is winning on the road is tough enough in 4 quarters, add in OT and the likelihood diminishes more. Haven't heard it from a home team perspective.

I haven't ever heard anything in terms of home road dynamic but would make some sense. And my 2/3 is just what it seems like to me. Personally I hate it but I'm not a math metrics guy. Seems coaches that DONT do it are more old school. But it's definitely in the playback of alot of coaches now.

Over reaction due to a loss? It wasn't like they lost to a junk team tonight.

They got bullied around. Constant coverage of their injuries. Meanwhile sentiment around the Bucs is super high. Yes I wanted an overreaction lol. I personally think the Bucs are an average football team at best. Prob going to be in Detroit for 2u
