Heads up: there are rumors that several Mississippi State players will be suspended for their opener and possibly beyond.
I heard the KT rumor awhile back, gave me more confidence to bet Stevens QB1 in the opener. Haven't heard any beyond him. As long as it's not Hill (on bunch of my fantasy teams) then I will be fine. Total getting crushed, up to 58 now and still is kinda short, IMO.

Heard 8 players for 10 games. The only notables were Willie Yag (LB) and Autry (DT).

Thanks! Yag is a good player, but they have a lotta dudes at LB. If it's not him, that's low-key one of the most impressive groups of starting LBs.

I think that Bevin Jordan prop hit on the first drive.
I think you’re right!

Got Toney and Jordan going in DFS as well. Wild quarter. Nothing like that first CFB heart rate spike! Now we just need to make some tackles and get this under.

Play against both teams, or Akron not contributing?

Good luck on the season.
I would say both, it just seems like a really ambitious number. Illinois played with 8 guys on defense last year, or so it seemed, but I think this Akron offense could be pretty toothless again. I certainly don't see anything in the new hires that leads me to believe they are gonna exercise a high tempo or really do oo much differently. They strike me as a team that's going to play in some lower scoring games. I don't care for Peters' fit running a Rich-Rod offense. I think they have some solid skill guys around him and I actually liked him at Michigan (for better or worse) but I don't think he's gonna be particularly dynamic as a runner. At a number of 61, I think there is plenty of margin for Illinois to get to 40/41(TT is 39) and it still stays under the number. Akron has prob a bottom ten skill group and while Illinois leaked like a sieve last year on defense, I have little optimism that Akron exploits it. Gonna be a lot of running clock and prob an average amount of plays and possessions.

Thanks. I didn’t see anything below 17 which would have made me more comfortable taking the Illinois side, so I settled on their over tt of 37.5.

I'm expecting a sizable jump for the Kent State offense this year. Should be plenty of pace. ASU defense appeared to be better than they were last year, until they played some offenses with a pulse late in season. ASU will likely try to score for 4Q as well, considering they will either want to get Daniels as many reps as possible before Sparty, or they get him a bunch of quality and then they have two other QBs that they want to really rep. Either way, ASU shouldn't have an issue scoring 40's and I believe that Kent State is going to meet or exceed the 17 that they are being forecasted.

do we see ole Herm as an unders coach going forward ? Herm is ole school run the football, clock management, play great defense from his nfl days. Arizona State was a pass happy team and he has them run first now. I don't think Herm is going to try to run the score up on anyone, he will run the clock out.

They were a slightly above average paced offense last year and I don’t see any reason that changes unless they need to slow things down for Daniels early in the year. So perhaps they slide back to being just an average tempo team. I don’t think Herm is going to run up the score on anyone just for the sake of being mean, but I do think he understands that running his offense for 4Q, with a brand new QB and pass catchers would be prudent to get ready for the rest of the year. Kent St gave up 39 PPG last year to a heavily MAC laden schedule, so I’m not sure how much blood Herm has to be out for here to hang a number in the 40’s.

Any thoughts on Nebraska vs S Bama? Should be a bloodbath.

Thanks for all you do.
Thanks all.

Nothing too substantive. I think your thoughts echo mine. Nebraska likely to score 50-ish and I think USA should be better on offense this year and can contribute enough to the total for it to go over. S Al is talent deficient at a lot of positions, but I can get excited about Johnson as a dual-threat QB, Minter is an underrated back, and Baker is a fun chess piece that I bet Scott Frost will be wising he had on his own roster after this one. Fun, fast-paced, open game where I think it makes some sense for Nebraska to stay on the throttle and ratchet up the A-Mart Heisman hype.

Brandon Wimbush Under 295.5 passing yards -120 (1 unit)

Knights splitting QB reps today with him and the heir, Dillon Gabriel. FAMU gonna get boat raced, but I don't trust Wimbush to throw for 300 against air.

Lots of plays and knowledge CK. Is this a full time job for you, meaning your job, or do you also work outside the 'Sports Office' GL This Year!

where are these props at, have lots of books and havent been able to find them
Mybookie were todays group.

Betusa Sportsbook has bushman 43.5 rec yards, havent seen them elsewhere but Im about to make another sweep

Oklahoma is GOY vs UCLA?

Just making sure I'm reading this correct. Only because you're saying 1 unit (assuming GOY would be much larger).

Thanks

@L8kersFan74 Just to clarify...GOY just means games of the year that books select for later weeks of the season that have lines posted...

Not meant to be a game of the year for betting purposes how much the play is valued. Just wanted to clarify

CK - I know you are a busy man, but if you have a moment could you give me the cliff notes version on why you like the Kent/ASU total?
When you asked this question, I pretty much thought you weren't in agreement. Wish I would have listened to my instincts.

GOY:

Week 3:

Oklahoma -12 @ UCLA -115 (1 unit)

BOL carrying it. Have UCLA +16 already, want out on that one.

Funny, I played that one also last night (at 13.5 110) strictly from a value standpoint as I think it might be closer to 18-21 by week 3. Great minds think alike!

Keep it rollin man...
