NCAAF In-Game Thread

Indiana will trash Oregon. They aren't good. Miami has talent on the lines that can possibly overcome the execution of Indiana.
Did you watch the first game?

Tomorrow is the champ game IMO.

And I respect Miami. Especially the DL.

Oregon is a helluva team too man.

I do think Indy wins but this is no walk in the park.

LOL on Miami v. Indiana.

Miami's coaching is atrocious Was in full evidence tonight. This game should have been over in the 3Q but utter stupidity across the board made this a one-play game.

Cignetti's not into stupidity.

I'm so fascinated to see the adjustments because both coaches know they have to change it up this time

I've watched that game twice now. I was so excited for that one earlier this year because I needed it to see if Indy had truly taken that next step.

Both trenches were beastly that day. Just so impressed.

And that's why both were in my mind CFB playoff teams after that day.

Indiana really made things hard on Dante. On the other end, Oregon game was a turning point for Mendoza. The fact he came back strong after the pick 6 really propelled him. He said as much and we discussed last weekend.

I do think Indy is just a bit better in both trenches and that should win it. But, Oregon won't go easily.

I did. Twice. Saying Oregon isn't good is exaggeration. They are a fine team. I think IU is operating on a different level though. I'm not a huge fan of Mendoza, so I think if you can make have to play off platform, there are opportunities. Even against us he made some dreadful decisions that a better team would have made him pay for. But anytime I've ever heard that a non champ game is the "real" champ game...we know how its turned out. If it's IU vs Miami, depending on line I may back the dog. If it's Oregon v Miami, I will be on the U, Carson Beck and all

I like Oregon D line over Indy O line and expect them to change it just enough to take advantage. Mendoza v Moore is a wash for me, make either uncomfortable/collapse the pocket they are prone for mistakes and I think that's how each team will tackle it from a game plan standpoint. This one shapes up to be one where taking 3 points might be the play and I'm not a fan of that. With great defense, I rather take the chance on 4th and turn it over at the 20 than get 3 points and give it to them at the 25 or whatever, but that's a significant difference between college and NFL too. 25 v 35 on touchbacks.

For me Oregon is #2 on defense after Texas Tech and I expect this one to not really sniff the 50 points the first one saw. Ducks and under for me but again, will be doing it live. I think the line is really not correct and should be Indy -1 or so but I know everyone will be taking them regardless. And just to get it out the way. Fuck Charissa. Hoosiers are the slice of life I really need to forget.

Can we go ahead and hate on Lane for another week. Hes the devil. Satan himself. Soon enough he wont have a dogshit defense like the one Miamis inept offensive ass just carved up (on the final drive) to secure a Natty game appearance. Congrats to the Canes. Root for Oregon tomorrow if you want to lose by less than 10 in 10 days.

I despise Trump but love Lane

Where does that put me in the hierarchy?

You mfers are gonna bang this drum too hard too soon. After 20 years of your best teams getting dog walked year after year I get it. You’re giddy you are finally also collecting a few titles in the 2000s. Go on a 10 year run before peacocking though. You got dominated for 2 solid decades.

He's an A&M grad 🤣

Wow, just watched that last play a few more times. That is pretty egregious PI.

I know it’s never called, but it’s usually just everyone getting a little handsy. That was a lot more than handsy - he had his fists clenched on his jersey for multiple strides.

You don't need to worry about this week. Just wait for the following one, or next month, or next year.

Unbridled, narcissistic, self-absorbed assholes don't operate on timelines. There will be ample opportunity for you.

And look at the 20 years before.

Cycles my man.

Free agency and NIL have leveled the field out quite a bit.

Notre Dame
Michigan
Ohio State
Washington
Miami
Oregon/Indiana

That's your last 6 finalists.

Times are a changing and there's a few common themes here....

I was just coming in to get everyone's thoughts on that as well. I had no money on the game and I'm not a fan of either team.

That was 100% PI, imho. As you said, that was much more that hand fighting. The guy couldn't even go up to try to make a play on the ball.

The officiating was pretty bad all night I thought. Very inconsistent.

This conference pride continues to amaze me. Do Alabama fans really care that Ole Miss lost. Are Florida St fans supposed to be excited that Miami won.

WhIttington with a calf injury. Won't start but will play to see how much he can go.

Oregon had two defensive players moved to tailback this week. We'll see how well it can run. And can these backup RBs pass protect when needed.

Pregame Lanning had a very reserved air of confidence. Lanning's not often reserved but he was confident.

S/B fun.
