NCAAF In-Game Thread

I understand the rain is heavier than expected but why was this game totaled 58?? Lol.
Was wondering the same thing, esp. with Navy's propensity to run the ball anyway.

But, I learned a looong time ago, that Vegas usually knows wtf they're doing...

Imagine being a diehard cincy football fan traveling to the Liberty bowl your whole team skips it and you lose your top rated QB and yet it’s still probably better than the Kansas football situation

Sitting out in the rain as the opt outs get thousands of dollars in free shit from the bowl game itself and you get thousands of dollars of hotel and ticketmaster bills.

Not watching. Surprised they have any kind of crowd.

Thank You Cincy QB and #58 for Navy AND the badass punter. You fellas are appreciated. Had just accepted my 30.5 Navy points were dead in the water. BOOM 💥

Lebby’s calling a good game for SMU tonight. They’re going to keep scoring.

Wasn’t Glanville with the Oilers when Wade was at UH?
Glanville was a piece of work. Good defensive coach, not a good head coach. But for a brief brief time he represented the Oiler image. I’m going to look him up - I assume he died a good while ago

Wasn’t he doing the run-and-shoot with the oilers at the same time U of H was running it?

Yes….what was that mid-80s? My memory failing. I remember being at Astrodome night game when Ware was UH and they beat Texas like 48-10 or so. Whatever it was Ware threw for 300 yds? UH has a siren they use for TDs and you couldnt finish a drink without that siren ringing in your ears

Scored 95 on SMU that same year. Ware threw for like 550 yards, in the first half. 350 in the 2Q.

SMU was coming back from the Death Penalty. Should have stayed on it.

Also go back and watch. He was one heck of a college QB. I was young & working raising babies so I recall zero of what happened in the NFL.
Also I was right about one specific. When UH beat Texas 66-15 I had 2 boys, age 3 and 7 months

Pop-Tart Bowl drew 8.7 million viewers. That is where Notre Dame would have played BYU which means the ratings would have been through the roof.

Ironically that is more viewers than all but 1 Notre Dame game drew within the last few years apparently which is hilarious. I guess Freeman wanted to play but the decision was on the players and the institution as a whole. So now that whining bunch automatically get in if they're in the final top 12 of rankings. Screw them, join a conference or just join the lemmings and take a long cliff dive please.

Damn, lots of red in the stands. Not surprising I guess. Will see the same thing tomorrow in Atlanta.
I didn't even know red was a color between these two

Thought OM was orange and light blue, Miami green and orange

Both grandfathers were color blind so I have to go through that test every year but didn't realize either were red

Glendale more quaint than I thought. Think they said 62K capacity?
62k normally

More for SB or natty. They used to expand for the random Fiesta Bowl before it wasn't smart.

Glendale is so far from the big money in the Valley that not many locals go to things like this anymore. Be a 45 minute drive from Scottsdale North of me w/o traffic. 25 minutes for me and all freeway. Sounds like a bunch of work for games you aren't emotionally invested in. The MGM sportsbook and bar there outside the stadium is top notch though.
