NCAAF In-Game Thread

One thing we can probably all agree upon is that both the first round and quarterfinal games need to go on campus. A bit of a pipe dream with the bowl tie-in but these home games are such big differentiators in the sport and without them in the next round is a big miss.

I just want to put this out there before the game starts but to me this is all about Elko vs Mario and why I expect Miami to get blown out.

Hard to ask fans to go to pony up to go to the Rose Bowl one week, then the Peach Bowl the next, even before you get to the Natty. Now I'm sure Indiana fan would co this in a heartbeat.

But in general, you can't do it.

I think early season Miami would win, but they just didn't seem to get better as the season went along. You would know more than me. Also wasn't impressed with anything A&M did outside of ND. Really got a cake draw in the SEC.

I think the talent is relatively even and might even give Miami the edge but how can anyone ever trust Mario. I've always had the theory that long layoffs help well coached teams and poorly coached ones will look flat and unprepared.

Here. Austin was eye opening at Thanksgiving. A&M hadn't played anyone and that showed. Miami has even or better talent.

But, hell, there is Cristobal.....

I'm sure Lions fans will be insulted but I think Mario is the Dan Campbell of college football. Both of them are strong character guys who players love playing for but both are meatheads who don't cut it tactically.

I agree on the talent. I have Natty futures on the U. Certainly not expecting much now. Would be nice to win today at least.

Oregon getting Moore and Bryant back at WR today. The depth it has demonstrated at that position over the last half of the season has been crazy.

I played Oregon over 33.5 tt. Think that one is ugly. I could see maybe Tulane covering. I didn't play it though. That was Retzlaff 1st game after not much prep. He flat out stunk. But moved the ball on the ground some. Could see Ole Miss with some distractions. I don't know. That one seemed like the one of the 2 bigs dogs that could cover.

Love that TT play.

got me some maroon
think it's weird they gave everybody the key number
think it's weird aTm team total is 25.5 when Canes didn't allow more than 24 in regulation all season

So if A&M is at ESPNs target FG line, and they don't kick it from there, you can either move the line or not bother putting it up.
