NCAAF In-Game Thread

I really can’t stand the ot rule. I was fine with w old way. By the 6th 2 point try I was numb and didn’t care, why they go away from starting at 25 after 2? I’m ok with having to go for 2 but making it all 2 point tries I find makes the result about as useless as penalty kicks in soccer.

No reason to change it.
There wasn't that many marathon games.

I will say, this style helps the underdog immensely.

True. I think most of us thought GA Tech would go for 2 in OT. They didn't. But it's really a coin flip once you get passed that.

It’s not a competition thing or fairness really, I literally started dozing off/not paying attention just watching 2 point try after 2 point try. Luckily most of them end before they get to that, I just don’t like it, there worse things I just don’t find it as thrilling as most I guess. I like the 1st 2 overtime’s just fine and the fact they have to go for 2 Id be good with at any point. Like you said doesn’t happen often, I just didn’t find it as interesting as it obviously was for Uga fans, maybe if I had tech ml and not just +17.5 it been different. Lol

Im just happy neb turned it over and iowa made the fg, i was sure +3.5 was gonna go down in flames in ot. What I really found crazy bout that game was after the 1st half they still made the 2nd half total 29.5 think i saw?? Couldn’t believe that shit, one the few times having to cross river to bet screwed me cause it sure seemed like a no brainer under. I guess overtime coulda changed that.

I don't know how you fix it. An extra quarter. Maybe start at the 50 and you have to go for 2. But the only way Georgia Tech had any prayer of stopping UGA in OT was when it got to the 2 pt tries.

I never had a problem with the old way or how they do the 1st 2 ot’s. Both start at 25 and play it out till someone wins. Again it doesn’t really happen enough for me to be outraged and actually being more a dog kind of guy I agree with what @B.A.R. said that it favors the dog plus if you get past to the 2 point only plays then the cover can’t get fucked on any number which nice. 1 thing they should absolutely do if this the way it stays, stop giving them a time out after each one, that is prob what really lost my add ass, Kirby waited for tech to line up and called time out every fucking time, that is redic imo. Smart by him but think it pretty dumb he was allowed to do that.

Yeah. The time-outs and having to change end zones each OT is brutal

I laterally actually watched maybe 4 of the plays. I’d look up and see if so and so scores the win, Kirby calls another time out and next thing I know we 2 more ot’s deep I didn’t even notice. Lol

Doing the YouTube tv multiview to watch 3 at once (Michigan not an option paired with other three). Like the concept but personally hard for me to focus at times.

Wow Texas Tech incomplete call on what looked like a TD. Tech challenged and announcers and the “replay expert” both agreed it was a TD which of course meant call on field wasn’t overturned. Tough start on overs but big 12 overs are always in play thankfully.
