look at the difference in fight and defensive side of the floor between the rockets/blazers and grizzlies/wizards.......the latter are 2 worst in league. grizzlies are winless and have 0 fight vs bad teams to boot - thats a fade signal. I think charlotte may not be far behind; and for a team with a lack of shooters hornets is an over team right now. Rockets/blazers scrappy, defensive head coaches, will fight in good spots and good under teams imo.
bucks early on are going to be very inconsistent and lay big no shows and eggs - 2nd no show blowout already. am not sure about their coach. after last no show they demolished the heat of note.
celtics/warriors look like wagons. i believe the suns are too - more defensive this year and beal, booker, durant is most dominant 3some in league with requisite shooters like gordon......don't see how the spurs are big enough dogs to cover thursday after suns blew a lead. we saw what they did after losing that huge lead vs the lakers.
nuggets are not a wagon yet and would tread careful - not covering vs a shit memphis team, or the jazz, blown out tonight.

feel detroit is an under team and bucks an over team ; at home especially; i'd play over on it - 124-110 type of game
really like the rookie for detroit thompson - moves great off ball; great defense, does little things to win - looks like young kobe too body movement combined with the afro
looks like clv in 8 games and non clv in 9; biggest 2 being hornets down to 2.5 and mavs total steamed up to 225.5.......we will see - hornets last 2 games have actually played much better - beat pacers and gave mavs a tough game; meanwhile wizards have shown nothing. look like they try hard first quarter and then fold. ..........mavs came out and locked down magic in 2nd half on defense big time; so tells me there is some emphasis over there

Iggy comps is nice - exactly same strengths/weaknesses.....iggy was a prime #1 back then scoring if i remember correctly; putting up 40 some nights with no jumpshot
I think thompson is the perfect role player that iggy became - probably a better off ball player then iggy is even today - braun for nuggets and thompson best off ball cutters in the game today IMO. I personally think thompson just has better fluidity to his movement then iggy - idn if he will ever become a #1 or 2 option and i'm not sure thats the goal with him - he's a championship piece - they need another go to guy tho - i'm dissapointed in ivey right now - guy has one of best explosive 2 steps in the nba ; with wade that worked out - it usually does for those guys to be a star

As far as Ivey goes, tough to tell. Monty basically pushed him to bench this year. He had a fantastic last few months. I'm puzzled. I won't say it's an issue until we see him playing actual minutes.
My guess is Monty is looking for defense out there.
you know prime iggy the initial burst reminds me more of ivey actually - with thompson - he's an incredible athlete - and i may be wrong but i am seeing it more near the rim and in transition - so that may limit his isolation upside star potential without a J
