NBA Injuries and Issues for 12/3

redbearde

Pretty much a regular
Ron Artest will keep playing when he can, but if he needs to go to his daughter, then he will. She has a tumor on her kidney. He'll pretty much be deciding his own starts, so if he travels back from Indiana, expect him to play.

http://www.sacbee.com/kings/story/537972.html

"A lot of guys asked me: 'Why are you back? Why are you playing?' " Artest said. "If my daughter needs me, then I'm leaving. If she's OK, then I'm going to come play."

The Bucks don't want Mo Williams to be playing 40 minute games. When he does, look for reduced minutes in the next game.

http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=692297

"I need to give him [Williams] rest, for sure," Krystkowiak said. "It's a heavy dose of minutes. But I think he's doing a good job of running our club. I think there's a couple other guys in waiting that we probably need to see what they're capable of instead of leaving him on the floor."

Marbury may miss a week? Wow. Their offense is lost without him.

Mehmet Okur is a gametime decision. He says he feels better, but back spasms are tough to predict. I expect he won't really know til he tries to warm up tonight.

"I feel better the last couple days,"

Carlos Boozer's ankle feels better, and he expects to play.

"It was swollen. It was painful. It wasn't stable (Friday)...But it's gotten a lot better," said Boozer. "A lot better. I think I'm gonna be able to go. I'm going take care of it...then get it on (for Monday's game)."

TJ Ford's thumb was swelling and painful Sunday.

He's not certain he'll be playing at all tonight, and he's been coming off the bench and has been less productive than normal, anyway.

Andrea Bargnani is not expected to play due to a bumb knee he hyper-extended after Andray Blatche stuffed the ball so far down his throat it popped out his ass.

Chris Bosh is expected to miss another game with a sore pussy.

Rip Hamilton has been battling a couple nagging irritations to his elbow and ankle, but his playing time has dropped this year due to increased depth in detroit. Supposedly he and Flip Saunders had a recent tiff on the sideline, but both say it was nothing.

"He hasn't practiced much," coach Flip Saunders said of Hamilton. "He's saying that he wanted to stay in and get his rhythm - games aren't the time to get your rhythm...You do that in practice."

Jermaine O'Neal played vs the Clippers over the weekend, and the Pacers actually managed a win with him.

Yeah, Dumars has strict orders on playing time this year. Rip has had 2 injuries, a newborn and is trying to get into rythm. He looked great last night. Just an adjustment. Detroits motion offense last 3 games has produced 55% shooting and well over 100 in each game. Nice to see.

Yeah, and when nobody boxes out Maxiell, that jumpy fuck will have a double-double in every half. Your boys are going to be a serious threat this year.

Jason Williams sprained his right foot in the loss to the Nuggets on Sunday, and he left the game. No word on the next game, but the Guard situation in Miami is starting to look grim.

Utah goes to Sacramento tomorrow - look for a Kings upset...

Okur is questionable. Boozer, I would call probable. J Will hurt his foot. I got no idea about him.

Flash and Shaq committed some quick fouls last night, and they only played 19 minutes each. So don't think these guys are tired. They just stunk like a shit lagoon last night.
