NBA In-Game Thread

Never seen anything like it. Game was over. A high school team couldve closed it out. Van Gundy even said so. Cost me a middle. Just unbelievable
Rockets... Worst team in the West this postseason... Said it before playoffs started...
They need to get back injured players back and trade KD for a player that doesn't poison the locker room...

What a game in Portland... Both teams playing super hard... Castle amazing for Spurs and Jrue that was MIA in first two games, plays amazing!

I think they're screwed. Durant Van Fleet and Adams past prime. Adams hasn't stayed on court 2 years now. Loved Adams. Durant tough one for me. Only won with Curry Klay but talent undeniable. I have him 16 to 30 in my GOAT rankings. They'll have to rebuild around Sengun and Amen.

Agreed.

I think you can look back at last year's thread regarding the Durant trade and a few of us questioned the direction.

Obviously with KD, things were going to have to happen within a tight window.

Yup agree. I remember saying I thought Phoenix got a great return in Green AND Brooks considering how Durant fit so awful with them. And he's 35. I thought Brooks was too much. And boy Houston misses him. Exactly what they need. Just look at what Smart brings Lakers. Even with Van Fleet and Adams I think Houston not deep enough. Sheppard is not it.

Durant for Hero type deal works

Id trade him for OG if I’m Rockets

Maybe him for Dante/Reid

Trying to think of teams that would be desperate to go all in.

As flawed as the Rockets are - any Pg in the entire league that isn’t Reed and they’re up 3-0. He’s been dreadful and is getting abused on the defensive end.

Detroit is a bad 1 seed but Orlando is more of a 3 seed. I don’t see how Detroit wins on the road in this series.

If Knicks don't win it all they will make major change i think. Giannis or KD would be at top of list you'd think.

Minnesota did go cold for a few minutes, with some turnovers, but Denver couldn't put together much of anything consistently.

The only thing worse than 26% that Cavs have from 3 point is 13% that Raptors have...
Harden had 6 to vs 1 assist in 1st half, so second half much better (reversed)...

I see it at -6.5 now with news that Embiid is playing, one point for him is pretty funny actually.

Watching the game I can’t help but think maybe the Sixers would’ve been better off without Embiid? So many possessions wasted with him trying to “get his”. Maxey with just 2 FG attempts right now, Edgecombe with just 4. Neither in a rhythm

Agree. Obviously replying halfway thru but its got to be hard for other players to adjust when he's been out so much. Plus he has no knee. Just a shame what injury has done to him. He was All NBA 1st team in my book when healthy. Im still amazed teams can't guard Pritchard.

Teammates have got to be frustrated. Figure Embiid’s 10 FG attempts and 2 turnovers are 12 shots that could have been distributed to Maxey, VJ, or George

I would trade Embiid, damaged goods and everybody knows it but try to get whatever you can for him. Let Oubre go, there’s a reason why Golden State brought him in to be the extra scorer years ago and then quickly moved on from him, no good

They'll have to pay someone to take Embids contract. Probably a 1 at least. He's done. They're screwed with Embid and George contracts. Im not sure how much longer each runs. Bad max contracts kill a team for years. Bucks with Lillard Turner contracts the same.

Still trusting the process

This looks like a totally diff team from regular season.

Duren has been awful
An effort team isn't giving the same full game effort.

And, this is why they should have traded for shooting.

But, they are playing the long game.

Now,

Let's see if OKC can turn on the D in the 4th like they usually do.

Incredible shooting both ways so far.

Is it me or Nuggets this season decided to shape their roster based on similarity between their players to confuse the rivals? Jones and Johnson look like twins, Murray and Tyus Jones also had to tell apart in the middle of the game. If Jokic grows his beard a bit more, Valanciunis and him will also be hard to tell apart :)

Feel like this trend of players looking the same goes way back ..I remember Magic wanting to look like Norm Nixon lol

Philly made more 3s than Boston tonight.... Boston couldn't make 3s in the large amount they usually need to. That's all she wrote there tonight

Yep and that's when Boston loses in the playoffs... We see it each postseason...

When they limit those nights, they are obviously a tough out.
