NBA In-Game Thread

Has any team previous these playoffs failed to reach double-digit scoring in any given period? Watched the NHL instead, but I'd have thought that feat all but impossible with the modern scoring/defensive rules

I hate how in the end of the series, losing players all smiling, hugging rivals and so on... Edwards missed huge chance second year in a row, moving to NBA Finals. The window to with a title isn't that big and Wolves missed two chances. Will they get a third? It's ok to have sportsmanship and congratulate, but too many smiles... You just lost what you tried to achieve for a year...

Minnesota has been building.

They need another stretch guy that can shoot and let these young guys keep developing.

A bit more shooting and probably time to upgrade at PG.

Problem is, this OKC team is just starting a LONG run in the West.

OKC need to do their 3 in a row type thing now before salary situations set in. Virtually impossible to keep a mega team together for much longer than 4-5 years and that's the ceiling with the way it's structured now. This is year 3 I believe with Chet obviously missing most of the first year. But I don't know how they can keep those three together long haul without sacrificing the rest of the team.

Yeah, I agree - I have in general the problem with this attitude... Conley reached WCF when he was 25. Now he is 37 and still never got further. Antman just taking it waaaay too lightly if you ask me...

Memphis and OKC just overloaded on draft capital for so long they were both bound to be contenders just by sheer volume. Sustaining that once it hits is the next fun part of that game.

Yeah, with the way they been hitting jackpots on their picks, it's like a gold mine they can always return to...

P.S. why Memphis?

Memphis did the same thing as OKC. Loaded up on draft capital via trade after trade after trade a few years ago. Not sure if they traded some of it away but I don't think so. Now Houston is kind of in that boat as well.

Hate NBA rumors almost as much as futbol rumors anymore but of course the rumors are flying around about the Suns trading for draft capital with Houston involving KD...for one or maybe two of their original draft picks lol. Can't keep up.

Heard this one a few times.

On paper makes sense for both teams. But IDK... Booker ok with another rebuilding?! His window closes with every season. Houston really wants to disrupt what they are building? Can they win the ship with KD? I really doubt it. He getting older and older and can't remember the last time he improved his team...
If I'm GM of Suns or Rockets, not sure I'm pulling this deal. I would bring Ayton back ;)

No to Ayton lol

Booker is 28, window is still just opening with the right build. Toss next season and get some kind of foundation. Already pretty much a given according to local insiders that KD and Beal aren't going to be here next season, just how they accomplish it (especially the Beal contract) remains to be seen but I think it's fairly certain neither will be here next season.

No KD and Beal, but bring players, not picks... You can build a solid team around Booker and keep your options open for some trades next seasons...

56-45 @ the half.

2h painted Indy -1.5 and 114.5.

Reset is NY -9.5 and 215.5.

Points in the paint is the crux of this game.

Light foul game. Expect that to change.

Lighter pace than we've seen, by a smidge.

Today's NBA makes it hard to critique rebounding. There are so many threes being shot that typical boxing out doesn't really pay off in the paint and guards just rack up numbers. Just so many long boards anymore, the stat has taken on a different definition.

NY -16.5 and 218.5 at the end of 3Q.

62 in the 3rd raised the full game total by 3 points.

Blowout, so total a bit "deflated" right now.

Pacers -1.5 and 111

Strong 2h like imo for Indiana.

I thought a pk was plenty here to grab equal action.

Reset : Pacers -5.5 and 223.
