NBA Discussion - Election Week Edition

The knicks line is very strong

teams coming off 3 straight covers (nets & clippers) are 1-8 ats this season.... this surely will even out

Not strong when you consider the rosters on each team and project the score based on that.

Knicks with 10 points more talent on the roster. I have it lined at 9.

I fully understand the rosters but public perception on the nets is better than the team is on paper. 6-1 ATS so far

Celtics getting blown out to start two games in a row. What a stupid decision not to package those draft picks and get someone like Okafor...

Thursday Thoughts...
Kind of like New Orleans here. See the line has gone down to +4.5 at most places. Do they finally get their first W? Just a weird hunch they finally breakthrough here. I'll give them this, they definitely play hard and don't give up.

Chicago in game 2 of a back to back. Miami opened at PK and is now -1.5. I'm actually a little bit surprised at the line and the movement. Wade's return to Miami, big emotional night. I think Chicago has better talent as far as on paper goes, but that doesn't always translate to having the better team.

Golden State got rolling at home, and as stated by everyone...when their shots are falling, goodness it's just unstoppable. Now on the 2nd game of a back to back, going into Denver, low line...kinda trappish? Idk though, not sure I would want to get in the way of the Dubs as they're on fire right now.

Lakers - Kings...Should Sacramento be laying this much? I don't really know about this game at all.

Kings in the dreaded 2nd game back home off a long RT. But it's the first nationally televised game in their new arena...

Agree package for something... but Okafor is the definition of a non-NBA game.

Poor defensively, slow, ugh...

Wouldn't take him on my team for a conditional 2nd rounder.

the last sentence is ridiculous but overall i completely agree. for us in philly, okafor court time (without embiid) is "change the channel" time. Hes brutal.

Over in Denver 221. Mystery game for me as the total actually went down. Probably for 2 units but only 1 till Curry is certain

Just saw this.

NBA
20* Golden State / Denver Over

Over is 4-0 in Warriors last 4 vs. a team with a losing straight up record.

Over is 5-2 in Warriors last 7 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.
Over is 6-0-1 in Nuggets last 7 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
Over is 6-0 in Nuggets last 6 vs. a team with a winning straight up record.
Over is 4-1 in Nuggets last 5 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.
Over is 4-1 in Nuggets last 5 home games.

What I have seen in the past is these guys are good but they certainly left out strong angles.
GS is 12-2 ATS on Thursday. In their last road game they were pulped. 2 nothing games and now they should be seriously interested in blasting at Denver. Denver is just a fast, large team that can give them trouble. Last 7 6-1 over between these 2 and good over umps

i do wonder if you combine the fact that wade is going to want to score 50 and the bulls played lastn ight, if that doesnt set up miami very well for a W. heavily leaning towards miami -2

Yeah I agree. The heat will want to perform well against wade as well. I just know wade is really pissed at Riley and he still has to have some hard feelings. I circled this when the schedule came out. Public is all over the bulls. Similar to the Boston/Washington line movement yesterday

The last time the warriors had a b2b game in Denver was back in 2011.... so not sure how they will do

but for a jump shooting team... its usually not a good situation

The warriors have had a few b2b's in utah and did well

The nuggets still have trouble closing games out. I wish there was a first 3 quarters wager lol

Provided it's Waiters who guards him...

Only one game where Wade didn't score 18 plus.

Went with over 17.5 -150. Only concern is that he hasn't been getting to the line much. Maybe he'll get some friendly calls...

Bulls forward Taj Gibson said Tuesday that Wade has been telling teammates they "better be ready to play on Thursday," the second night of a back-to-back and the Bulls' third game in four nights.

</article>"I would love if [the game] wasn't on a back-to-back," Wade said with a smile. "I would love if I was able to have a day so I can enjoy my house. I'm going to go sleep in my bed for about three hours -- I would love it a lot more. But I'm going to take advantage of the moments I'm there ... and go out and compete in an arena that I played for 13 years, an environment that I'm used to. So it's going to be fun from that aspect, but I would love it if the schedule gods would have looked at it a little better and not gave us this on a back-to-back."

I could totally envision wade having no legs. The b2b really blows and when he doesn't have his legs he can really sucks. I'm not laying -150. Good luck if you play it

Friday thoughts...

New Orleans popped its cherry yesterday does Philly do the same here? Just played at Indiana, now the return game here at home. Idk why, but I'm leaning Indiana here still.

Kings are in a tough spot. Similar to a super situation spot except they had two home games. They started out on fire yesterday getting their energy from the crowd but then they looked all out of sorts in the 2h. After tonight they have 4 days off so they could just go through the motions....
blazers coming off that embarrassing loss @ lac

Leaning the pistons. The spurs don't have it figured out on both ends of the court and they play tomorrow @ Houston so there's a possibility of a back door. I think SVG will have his guys ready

embiid sat last game too. now he plays. i like philly a lot. but i liked miami last night so fuck me. but yeah, great spot for their first win, pacers are having a hard time on D and Embiid should be the x factor

Spurs should win tonights game and maybe win it well because the Pistons have no guards.

As for this Spurs team going forward, I will be surprised to see LA or Pau still there after the trade deadline.

It just doesn't work.

I agree with that

Pistons should have covered. :hang:
