Gotta love the ups and downs of gambling... we had a record breaking day yesterday and followed it up with a pretty huge loss.

The good news is we cleared a ton of chases this weekend and we're up +50 or so units on the year and it's only been 2 months with a lot more baseball to go.

I'd just like to take this time to reiterate some points:

Chase #146 is a fade Angels at home chase. The way they're playing right now though, they are a completely different team than the beginning of the season, I may transfer the 11 units associated with the chase onto other chases since they look so damn good right now but we'll see. I will advise.

Thanks again for the kind words and support so far guys, it is noticed and appreciated.

Now onto money management... please please please manage your bankroll wisely, I cannot emphasize this enough. The reason why I recommend playing .5 to .67% of your bankroll as your unit size is because of days like yesterday where we had over 90 units in play on the board. To be honest, we were extremely lucky in hitting all but one of them. What if it was the opposite? Chases would move further on and we'd be in trouble. We not only need to be able to continue the chase but we also have to be able to afford to take a loss.

We win some and we lose some. Today we definitely lost some but we're still up on the year. The ultimate goal is to win more than we lose and I think we're in good shape so far. We were down some by the end of April and in May we've turned that around to net 50 units. Baseball's a grind, just gotta keep grinding away, the season is still young...

good luck

3u on Fister? Pretty steep for him. I'm in fade Fister mode.

I like Fister at that price today. He's in a pitcher's park vs a mediocre/poor offense. Tigers also lost 2 in a row, I think they get back on track.

Locke's been great but I see some regression coming. Tigers also hitting .286 against lefties, 2nd best in baseball.

Of course, that's just my opinion/capping, the choice is yours.

good luck

Notes:
If we didn't transfer those units and played it like a real Game 4, it would have lost -126 units which is ridiculous. The biggest loss in the history of the systems since I've been tracking was -80 units, so this topped it and it wasn't even close. Fortunately, the series chase plays are going strong so we're still in the black for the year. Going forward, I'll keep an eye on these ridiculously huge chalk chases and may possibly play them on the RL. That will be on a case by case scenario though but honestly, who the fuk thought the Astros were capable of winning 4 straight? It was on the road nontheless. It was a horrible and tough luck loss but no excuses, a loss is a loss and I man up to them as such. Time to move on.

I think it's pretty safe to say at this point the system is broken bud. BOL moving forward.

Pretty dick thing to say egg. He's barely in the red overall. Who could have called Angels being swept at home by the Astros?

GL today DK.

:badass:good morning guy's I had to jump in. sorry I know this is not my thread. but egg is 100 percent right I don't know about the system being broke or not .but for the older gambler's on CTG they know that there is no system. because if there was the wise guy's would know about it. and yes the bad team's will sweep the good team's it's a real long season i'm not saying that LAA is a good team because there not . the same goes for miami this team did sweep NYM but guy's gl trying to find that edge to the bank baby. TDK is doing a great job putting this all together. it's suck's for this to happen because until last week everything was great. but if your going to play the chase system at some time you will be betting 5.000 or 10.000 and you will lose sooner or later and nobody will risk that kind of money

GL tha rest of tha season dark knight, don't worry about dick riders like egg

Thanks guys, appreciate the support.

Lots of pending plays, let's start clearing these suckers out!

It would be nice if we can get back on a roll, It seems like it's been forever since that happened, I forgot how it felt like...

System has never been in such a huge loss before. In 2011 there were a couple early losers in may but i think it was only down like 50 units at that time.

It's not the losses that I have a problem with, we're hitting over 97% on the 4 game chases. It's just the amount of juice related to the losses that's ridiculous.

Same with the Series Chases, a loss should never exceed 50 units. I will do my best to limit the juice by playing the -1.5 more often on huge favorites starting with tonight.

good luck

A single season either way doesn't prove a system is successful or not obviously. I have no idea DarkKnight's previous chase numbers but if he's lifetime up 10k or something then this is just seasonal variance. Eggman, you're a smart guy - hence you make the money that you do. From watching you wager over the past five or six years I know money management is not your forte, but you're still smart enough to understand variance. Come on, put your emotion aside momentarily. I make reference to your Chicago Bulls Conference Finals wager in 2011. More emotion than logic at times - at least in market places.

Dark Knight, a stop loss filter obviously isn't fitting for this season as you're going to need to hit game 4's to keep things alive. But a maximum drawdown limit maybe should be implemented. Run the math, see if it helps. Just a suggestion.
