Just got back and am leaving again but this time for a cruise Saturday to Europe. I will not be able to post Saturday if there is a game 7 but it won't matter and you will see why.
My bets for Friday:
LA ML -70/+50 - Only if Roberts doesn't fuck up again and keep his same lineup he had all season instead of what he boneheadedly tried in game #3. If Betts or Freeman isn't hitting behind Otani then the Dodgers will lose and the series will be over. The Jays can't hit Yamamoto but they will eventually get to him if LA isn't scoring. Smith or anyone but Betts/Freeman hitting #2 behind Otani means they don't have to give Otani anything to hit just like they did in the last game. In my opinion, Otani isn't Babe Ruth (yet) but he is a very good hitter unless they don't have to at least throw him something he can hit. Check the lineup which is posted on or before 6 pm and then make your bet. If it isn't Betts or Freeman hitting behind Otani then the bet is....
Toronto ML -50/+60- When you see the LA lineup you will know what my bet is.
If Roberts goes back to the same lineup he has used all year for game #6 and #7 then I bet the Dodgers to win both and take the series because I figure LA throws Glasnow and Toronto starts Scherzer in the final game. Scherzer is a good pitcher, but he is also stubborn, and he will force his manager to leave him in too long. (If of course LA wins #6) If not congrats to all the Jays backers.
Now to other business. Because I won't be here for Saturday, I want to apologize that I was out a lot this MLB season especially for the end of it. But I want to thank everyone that came into my threads and responded or even just came in to look to see what foolishness I was up to. Please stay safe so that we can all come back again next season for one more good year in the sun. GL
