I don't have a problem tipping, but always felt tipping culture is toxic, and should never gone this long. More than half the world manages without tipping and paying fair prices (for products and labour), N.America should be no different. In Canada, minimum wage is $11+ depending on the province, but tipping culture still exists as if min wage was <$5.
